Chris Martin Was Depressed After Paltrow Split

Chris Martin struggled a little, understandably, after his 2014 split from Gwyneth Paltrow after 10 years of marriage.

While Chris Martin seems pretty happy and carefree these days, it admittedly took him a while to get there.

In fact, Chris Martin indicated that it took about a year, and lots of reading, to fully recover.

He said of his divorce, “I still wake up down a lot of days. But now I feel like I’ve been given the tools to turn it around.”

He added, “You can come at it very aggressively and blame and blame. Or you can put yourself in the garage, so to speak. Take yourself apart and clean off the bits. Reassemble.”

It seems Chris Martin reassembled nicely and has dated the likes of Jennifer Lawrence and model Annabelle Wallis.

The biggest help that Chris Martin had in getting his life back on track was a poem by Mewlana Jalaluddin Rumi called “The Guest House”.

He said, “That one Rumi poem changes everything. It says that even when you’re unhappy, it’s good for you. It took me a year to get it. A year of depression and all that.”

Chris Martin has made his way back to the top with his band, Coldplay. They gave a stellar Super Bowl performance and released a new album.

He even made some joyful TV appearances with Jimmy Fallon and James Corden.

What do you think about Chris Martin’s place in life since his split?

  • Gwyneth Paltrow Says Ex Chris Martin Is Like Her Brother Now

Gwyneth Paltrow unknowingly created a whole lot of talk last year when she announced that she and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin were going to “consciously uncouple” after ten years of marriage, causing fans and curious talk show hosts to wonder: what exactly does that mean?

Now, Paltrow is expanding a bit on the theory–saying they aren’t even her words–and has opened up about her relationship with Martin now. The actress says she and Chris are still very close, just in a very different way.

“He’s like my brother. I’m really close to him. We’re a family. Even though we’re not in a romantic relationship, we’re a true family and we like to do things to reinforce that we’re a family for the children and for each other,” Gwyneth told Matt Lauer.

The couple share two children–Apple and Moses–and are very invested in their family unit as they try to make life as “normal” as possible despite their fame. Paltrow said that the divorce went much like any separation would, adding that it was hard on the kids. However, she added that she tried to keep a low profile during that time for the sake of her kids.

“It was a very intense time for our family. Emotions were very high and deep and all over the place. I just try to keep to myself as much as possible.”

Gwyneth took the children to the Super Bowl this year so they could see their dad perform with Coldplay at halftime, sharing photos from the event on Instagram. She says she tried hard to get them to understand that this sort of thing doesn’t happen every day, or to just anyone, but the event was doubly exciting for the kids because it was their first football game.

Gwyneth spoke recently about the pressure on women in Hollywood to look young and fresh-faced, saying she doesn’t want to be 26 again, but would rather age gracefully. The 43-year old says she’s proud of everything that makes her, her…even the wrinkles.

“I don’t feel pressure to look young. I feel like I’ve earned my wrinkles, and I’m very proud of everything that I’ve gone through in life — both good and bad,” Gwyneth Paltrow said.

  • Apple Martin, Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow’s Daughter, Spotted Back Stage With Beyonce’s Blue Ivy Ahead of Super Bowl Halftime Show

Apple Martin, the daughter of Coldplay front man Chris Martin and actress Gwyneth Paltrow, was pictured with a new little friend back stage at Sunday’s Super Bowl. Just ahead of the halftime show, she was spotted hand-in-hand with Beyonce and Jay-Z’s little girl Blue Ivy.

Chris Martin and his band Coldplay, as well as Beyonce and Bruno Mars, starred in Sunday’s halftime show. How exciting for Apple Martin that she was on hand to experience all the excitement.

Gwyneth Paltrow was likely on hand at the Super Bowl as well, as she shared the shot of Apple Martin and Blue Ivy walking backstage together.

“#superbowl50 jacket game,” she captioned the shot.

Apple Martin is 11 years old, so little Blue Ivy–at just three–no doubt looks up to her.

As anyone with a preteen–or who has raised a preteen–knows, these kids on the cusp of their teen years think they’re all grown up. It no doubt gave Apple Martin a sense of responsibility to lead Blue Ivy around back stage. While it’s certain there were ample security guards posted for both children, this little bit of freedom must have felt good.

Apple Martin is no doubt the envy of her school friends today, as it’s unlikely many of them got to attend the Super Bowl halftime show in Sunday.

  • Gwyneth Paltrow Finally Allows Children Apple and Moses to Consume Sugar

Gwyneth Paltrow Finally Allows Children Apple and Moses to Consume Sugar

Gwyneth Paltrow was on the outs with parents everywhere a couple of years back when word broke of the kinds of foods she allowed children Apple and Moses to consume. These days Paltrow seems less strict with her food rules, and even allows the children some treats that contain sugar.

The Huffington Post noted a recent photo of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s son Moses. In the shot the boy is beside his father at a basketball game, and is clearly enjoying the cotton candy he is stuffing into his mouth. The HuffPost first assumed–as anyone would–that Chris Martin was allowing Moses a treat outside the confines of Gwyneth Paltrow’s home, as in one she wouldn’t see or hear about.

Apparently that’s not the case, however. During a recent interview with Yahoo Beauty, Paltrow admits she has eased up a bit on her food restrictions where the children are concerned.

“We are a pretty balanced house,” Paltrow said. “I mean, kids eat sugar. That’s how it goes. So we have organic snacks and we have Oreos, too, so.”

It wasn’t all that long ago–2013 to be exact–that people were concerned her kids weren’t getting enough to eat. Gwyneth Paltrow claims there was lots of “misinformation” written about the dietary restrictions she allegedly imposed.

“Every single nutritionist, doctor and health-conscious person I have ever come across seems to concur that [gluten] is tough on the system and many of us are at best intolerant of it and at worst allergic to it,” Paltrow wrote back in 2013, in her cookbook titled It’s All Good. “Sometimes when my family is not eating pasta, bread or processed grains like white rice, we’re left with that specific hunger that comes with avoiding carbs.”

“I really believe in delicious food and enjoying life and not saying no to anything. But at the same time, you know, I think it’s important to understand what good nutrition does and make sure you maintain a balance,” she added. “For me the big things are really processed food and foods that have tons of chemicals and pesticides. I try to stay away from that, but I love French fries and cheese and martinis and all that kind of thing.”

So maybe Gwyneth Paltrow didn’t deem herself the food police after all?

Are you shocked to learn that Gwyneth Paltrow allows children Apple and Moses to consume sugar? If so, you’re certainly not alone.

  • Gwyneth Paltrow Launches Own Line of Organic and Vegan Beauty Products

Gwyneth Paltrow has launched her own organic line of beauty products, calling it her “dream.”

The 43-year-old actress is known for her green approach to life and now she is offering organic and vegan beauty products that align with her lifestyle.

As creative director, Paltrow worked with president and CEO Karen Behnke of Juice Beauty to create a line of eco-friendly color cosmetics and skincare products, called the Phyto-Pigments Color collection.

Paltrow praised Juice Beauty, saying the collaboration was made to fit.

“The company is kind of my dream in terms of alignment,” Paltrow told Well + Good. “I really believe in what Karen is doing for the sustainability of the planet… She’s really the leader in these practices. It’s very important as a woman, as a mother, and as someone who preaches a non-toxic lifestyle.

The Phyto-Pigments Color offers an affordable range of “colorful, plant-derived products, including satin-like lipsticks, creamy concealers, eyeshadow sticks, liquid foundation and more, with price points from as little as $20 for eyeliner to $48 for makeup brushes,” according to People magazine.

“Obviously we’re living in an age where we’re all becoming more and more aware of link between what we’re ingesting and adverse effects on our health,” Paltrow said. “Ten or 15 years ago with organic food, people didn’t understand it, and now we have this mass movement. [Today] people are really understanding now how absorbent an organ the skin is … how applying toxic chemicals on our skin is not good for us.”

Sold online, Gwyneth Paltrow‘s new organic beauty care line with Juice Beauty is available at juicebeauty.com and ulta.com.

  • Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin Celebrate Thanksgiving as Family With Apple and Moses

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin spent Thanksgiving together with children Apple, 11, and Moses, nine, on Thursday. Paltrow and Martin are famous for “consciously uncoupling,” which was the term Gwyneth Paltrow used on her Goop website when first announcing their split.

Following their Thanksgiving meal, Gwyneth Paltrow posted a family photo to Instagram.

“Happy Thanksgiving from us to you!” she captioned it.

You’ll notice that Paltrow was on one side of the photo, with Chris Martin on the opposite side.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s divorce was final this past April. He was dating Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence for a while, but that has since ended. He is now reportedly dating actress Annabelle Wallis. Paltrow is dating Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk.

Just a couple of days before Thanksgiving, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin, their children, and her mom, actress Blythe Danner, were spotted enjoying dinner at The Lion, an upscale West Village establishment.

The family seemed “super happy and chummy” and “looked like a happy, regular family having a big pre-Thanksgiving dinner,” a source tells People magazine.

There’s no doubt that Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow are working hard to keep life normal for their children. But what might happen when one or both of them settles down again and that ex is suddenly a third wheel? Should they perhaps be allowing their kids a healthy dose of reality instead?

  • Gwyneth Paltrow and Conscious Uncoupling: Chris Martin Glad Roller Coaster Has Stopped

Gwyneth Paltrow and her “conscious uncoupling” made up so much of Chris Martin’s life during the time they were divorcing that the Coldplay front man wondered if he’d make it out alive. Add to that an on-again, off-again relationship with Jennifer Lawrence, and Martin felt like he was on a constant roller coaster ride–one he’s glad has finally stopped.

“A few years ago I was in a kind of low place in my life and I was feeling kind of down and confused about everything,” Chris Martin said during a recent interview on an Australian radio station.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin called it quits in 2014. Martin cites two specific things that helped him put the pieces of his life back together again.

“Some friends gave me a book called Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl and a poem called The Guest House by Rumi who was an Afghanistani poet,” Martin, 38, revealed. “And those two things started me off on this whole journey that’s ended up a few years later now where I just feel so happy to be alive.”

The subject of Gwyneth Paltrow wasn’t raised during this interview. Martin is glad that he and Gwyneth Paltrow have remained friends and work together in the raising of their children.

These days a new woman is in Chris Martin’s life. Her name is Annabelle Wallis.

How does Gwyneth Paltrow feel about Annabelle Wallis? Probably if she doesn’t infringe on her interactions with Chris–where the children are concerned, anyway–then she will be just fine.

Gwyneth Paltrow is no doubt a force to be reckoned with if things aren’t going her way.

Fortunately for Chris Martin, everything seems calm for now.

  • Gwyneth Paltrow Shows Off Cleavage, Abs in Sexy Cutout Dress at Environmental Media Association Awards

Gwyneth Paltrow was honored this past weekend at the Environmental Media Association Awards in L.A., alongside her mother Blythe Danner. It was Gwyneth Paltrow who stole the show, however, thanks in part to her sexy cutout dress.

The Cushnie Et Ochs blue dress was revealing in all the right places, showing off both Gwyneth Paltrow’s cleavage as well as her toned abs. It left little to the imagination.

“Whoa! Are my boobs still in this thing?” Paltrow joked.

She clearly feared a wardrobe malfunction–and the dress provided plenty of opportunities for exactly that to take place.

Gwyneth Paltrow didn’t suffer any mishaps, however, as she was presented with the 2015 Green Parent Award. She was given the honor for the sustainable lifestyle choices she has made for her children, Apple and Moses.

Paltrow told her fans that she wanted to accept her award quickly and get off stage.

“We all need to drink alcohol!” she joked.

Gwyneth Paltrow is reportedly dating TV writer, director, and producer Brad Falchuk. She was previously married to Coldplay front man, Chris Martin, with whom she shares the two children. When Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin split up, she coined the phrase “conscious uncoupling.”

  • Salma Hayek Gives Powerful Speech on Gender Equality

Salma Hayek Gives Powerful Speech on Gender Equality

Salma Hayek isn’t just a big name on the big screen. The actress is a big name in the fight for gender equality, too. On Friday Hayek addressed Variety’s Power of Women luncheon in Los Angeles, calling those who don’t pay men and women equally criminals.

“This is a problem that is in every single industry,” Salma Hayek told the press on the red carpet at the luncheon. “If you have the same capacities and you are doing the same job, it is criminal not to pay the same salary.”

Honored for her work with the Chime for Change women’s empowerment project, Hayek shared some astounding statistics. Jada Pinkett Smith introduced Salma Hayek to a cheering crowd.

“We are a fantastic generation. We are the generation who said, ‘Oh no, we’re not going away at 30. This is gonna change. I’m not going to work there anymore? OK, I’m going to start my own industry,’” Hayek said.

“We are 66 percent of the work power of the world. However, we only get 10 percent of the income of the world. This is really, really sad and tragic,” she added.

Following more than 20 years as a gender equality advocate, Salma Hayek just now believes change is about to take place.

“We have been complaining about the situation of women in this industry for years,” she said. “I remember many people in Oscar speeches [mentioned] it, but just this year, with the very eloquent speech of Patricia Arquette, finally they heard it! They actually ask you about it! We are talking about it, we are looking for solutions. We are the generation that is going to experience the difference, the transformation.”

“I think the reason is not because they’re very nice and they heard us, but because they cannot not hear us because we are such an economical power, women in the country. We represent such a strong part of the audience that they cannot ignore us anymore,” she said.

Explaining how women in both the film industry as well as in everyday situations have been forced into roles set by men, Salma Hayek said there is much confusion about gender equality.

“It’s confusing because we’ve been neglected for so long that we really don’t know what women want to see,” she said. “We don’t even recognize our voice anymore because our voices we’ve had to adjust to a system that was created by men so that they could survive. So that things could get made. It’s a really inspiring time, because it’s time for us to take this responsibility and try to find out who we really are.”

She added that the stereotypical Hollywood roles for women in rom-coms and chick flicks is coming to an end.

“We’re not the women [who] just wanna see the movie about how our prince is going to come and rescue us anymore. These romantic comedies are not working anymore, why? We changed! But nobody took the time to change with us in the industry,” she said. “So it’s a really exciting time to redefine who we are. This is the true heart of equality–not only when we can make as much, but we can speak as loud and we can really have the freedom to be ourselves instead of trying to survive or fit in,” she said.

Salma Hayek is a successor in a long line of people who have spoken out against gender inequality. Shonda Rhimes, Reese Witherspoon, Emma Watson, Oprah Winfrey, Matt McGorry, Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Garner, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Geena Davis, and Meryl Streep are huge advocates, too.

Do you believe the end of gender inequality is truly imminent? Kudos to people like Salma Hayek and her predecessors for their tireless work in not just raising awareness but in advocating change.

  • Salma Hayek, Gwyneth Paltrow and Oprah Winfrey To Be Honored In ”Power of Women’ Event

Salma Hayek, Gwyneth Paltrow and Oprah Winfrey are set to be honored at the upcoming Variety Power Of Women Event, which celebrates the entertainment industry’s most inspiring and charitable females.

Actress Anna Kendrick and YouTube boss Susan Wojcicki will also be among the honorees at the ceremony set for Oct. 9 in Beverly Hills.

“The women we are honouring this year are the perfect embodiment of the Power of Women initiative,” said Variety publisher Michelle Sobrino-Stearns.

“We salute Salma Hayek Pinault, Anna Kendrick, Gwyneth Paltrow, Oprah Winfrey and YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki for their incredible philanthropic work and their personal commitment to fostering change.”

According to Variety, Hayek, 49, is being recognised for co-founding women’s rights initiative Chime for Change.

Paltrow, 42, will be honored for her work with food charity LA Kitchen and Kendrick, 30, for her support of the youth suicide prevention group, The Trevor Project.

Winfrey, 61, is known for nurturing girls at her South African school, the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy Foundation.

Finally, Wojcicki will be recognized for her work with literacy and equal rights group Room to Read.

  • Gwyneth Paltrow And Jennifer Garner: Ben Affleck’s Exes Meet At Convention

Gwyneth Paltrow was seen recently at an education event Think it Up in Sta. Monica, California. Paltrow looked young in her simple outfit. She wore a navy blue T-shirt with the logo of Think it Up paired with a black skater skirt and black ankle boots.

The Think it Up initiative seeks to improve education in America by motivating students in public schools to turn their passions into worthwhile projects. The event gained support from other Holywood celebrities like Seth Meyers, Terry Crews, Justin Bieber, Halle Berry, Jessica Biel, Kacey Musgraves, Julie Chenand, Taylor Lautner and Jennifer Garner.

Garner caught up with Paltrow, and the two smiled together as they posed for the cameras. Both leading ladies are exes of Ben Affleck but there was no awkward moment between them. Paltrow dated Affleck back in 1997 after she broke up with Brad Pitt. Their relationship lasted three years. According to Paltrow, her parents knew that she and Affleck were not suited for each other.

“I think they appreciated how he’s super intelligent and he’s really talented and funny,” the actress said, remembering her parents’ fondness over Affleck. “They loved him, but they were okay with us not being together,” she added.

Paltrow and her husband, Chris Martin separated in March. They have two children: Apple who is now 9 years old and son Moses, 8.

Recently, Garner and her three children joined Affleck at Disney World for the actor’s birthday on August 16.

“This was all he wanted to do for his birthday, go to Disney World with his family and that included Jen,” a reliable source told Us Weekly, referring to the last time Garner and Affleck were seen together.

“They planned this and all went to Orlando together,” the source added.

  • Jessica Biel Headlines Inaugural “Think It Up” Telecast Alongside Jennifer Garner, Justin Bieber, Gwyneth Paltrow, and More

Jessica Biel was just one of the Hollywood A-listers to headline the inaugural “Think It Up” telecast on Friday. She was joined by Jennifer Garner, Gwyneth Paltrow, Justin Bieber, and more for the fundraiser aimed to help both students and teachers throughout the U.S.

The event was kicked off by a performance by Justin Bieber of his new single, “What Do You Mean?” Ryan Seacrest, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, and others described their past school experiences.

It’s important for celebrities like Jessica Biel to support initiatives like “Think It Up.” It shows a concrete effort on behalf of the Entertainment Industry Foundation to create awareness of the plight of many school systems within the U.S.

“The national education initiative will seek to reframe the public discussion about education, create a culture of excitement about learning everywhere in America and build a sense of optimism about the potential of education in classrooms across the country.”

Jennifer Garner, Jessica Biel, and Gwyneth Paltrow are all parents. They have very important reasons to work to improve education.

Big Sean capped off the “Think It Up” telecast with a very moving performance of “One Man Can Change the World.”

One man certainly can’t do it all, but when one is combined with a wealth of celebrities including Seth Meyers, Jessica Biel, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Garner, and more–just think of the connections that might just open up to that one man. Students everywhere can benefit from these connections.

Kudos to all of these celebrities–Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Justin Bieber, Big Sean, Ryan Seacrest, and more–for lending their faces, names, and talents to this very important “Think It Up” initiative.

  • Jennifer Garner Attends First Celebrity Even Since Ben Affleck Split, Hangs With Gwyneth Paltrow, Halle Berry

Jennifer Garner stepped out on Friday to attend the the “Think It Up” telecast, which is aimed at improving education in the U.S. This is the first celebrity event she has attended since her split from Ben Affleck.

Hanging out with a sizable list of celebrities made the event even more fun. Jennifer Garner joined Justin Bieber, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kacey Musgraves, Halle Berry, Jessica Biel, Seth Meyers, Terry Crews, and Julie Chen in Santa Monica for the inaugural telecast.

“Think It Up” is intended to inspire middle school and high school students to pursue their passions, with the organization possibly helping out with some crowdfunding.

Jennifer Garner posed for pictures with Justin Bieber, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jessica Biel.

She hung out with everyone involved–in the green room–before the show went live.

Aside from wrapping filming of Miracles from Heaven in Atlanta, Jennifer Garner hasn’t been seen doing anything work-related this summer. She and Ben Affleck have been spotted with their three children–Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel–several times, both solo and together. Neither Ben Affleck nor Jennifer Garner is wearing a wedding ring.

Kudos to Jennifer Garner and the rest of the celebrities involved in “Think It Up.” Anything to encourage education growth and awareness in the country is a huge benefit to the children who participate and to the nation’s future.

These celebrities set a great example that will hopefully encourage others to follow in their footsteps.

  • Gwyneth Paltrow Once Again Talks ‘Conscious Uncoupling’

Gwyneth Paltrow is talking “conscious uncoupling” again. The actress, who made the term famous when she announced her split from Coldplay front man Chris Martin, had no idea that when she did so she was coining a brand new–and long-lasting–phrase.

In a recent interview with Fast Company, she insists she had no idea the phrase would run the media gamut–or more importantly, stick.

“When I announced that I was separating on the website, [Goop editorial director Elise Loehnen] titled the piece “Conscious Uncoupling,” and I had no idea,” Gwyneth Paltrow explains.

Now she is an advocate for “conscious uncoupling,” and she has even touted its merits on Howard Stern’s radio show and in numerous articles.

Her divorce from Chris Martin long since final, Gwyneth Paltrow has moved on. So what does her future look like?

“My future self is always afraid when I look back,” Paltrow admits. “I had this the other day where somebody was asking me about [the movie Emma], which I did in England when I was 22. It was really my first starring role, an adaptation of Jane Austin’s Emma. And I remember at the time people saying, ‘Weren’t you intimidated to play this English heroine? You’re this American girl.’ When I think about it [now], I would be petrified.”

Gwyneth Paltrow and “conscious uncoupling” are practically synonymous these days. Sadly not everyone sees it as a positive thing, and the media has at time poked fun of the term.

That likely doesn’t bother the actress and mom of Apple and Moses. She and Chris Martin still spend time together for the sake of their children–even though he is still off and on dating Jennifer Lawrence.

Gwyneth Paltrow chose to put her children first when she divorced. Even though some mock her for it, her “conscious uncoupling” has seemingly worked.

  • Gwyneth Paltrow and Son Moses Hang With Taylor Swift After Concert

Gwyneth Paltrow took her nine-year-old son Moses to see Taylor Swift in London’s Hyde Park on Saturday, and wound up hanging out with the ‘Bad Blood’ singer after the show. This was the same night that Taylor Swift brought six celebrity guests up on stage with her as she sang her hit song, ‘Style.’ Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevingne, Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid, Martha Hunt and even tennis superstar Serena Williams strutted their stuff on the stage as Swift sang.

After the show, Taylor hung out with her friend of almost five years and her son.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Taylor Swift met when Paltrow hosted a dinner party for the ‘Blank Space’ singer and her boyfriend at that time–Jake Gyllenhaal. Paltrow was still married to Coldplay front man Chris Martin then. He is now connected to Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence.

Gwyneth Paltrow took to social media to thank Taylor Swift for a fantastic evening.

“#taylorswift thanks for giving me and my little man our best date night ever. #hydepark,” she captioned her post.

When Taylor Swift and Gwyneth Paltrow parted company, Taylor spent the rest of her weekend in the company of boyfriend Calvin Harris, along with Gigi Hadid and her boyfriend Joe Jonas. BFF Karlie Kloss joined the two couples and served as their London tour guide.

“Little known fact: Karlie is secretly an unofficial historian/London tour guide. Kind of,” Swift captioned an Instagram photo of the five friends together.

A photo posted by Taylor Swift (@taylorswift) on

Taylor Swift, Calvin Harris, Gigi Hadid, Joe Jonas, and Karlie Kloss all appear to be good friends, and they spend time together back in the U.S. as well as in London. Do you expect the same can be said for Taylor Swift and Gwyneth Paltrow? Do you think their friendship is the kind where they call each other to just say ‘hi,’ or is it more of a ‘friendship’ of opportunity?

    What’s your take?

  • Jennifer Lawrence Sports Mustache and Unibrow

Jennifer Lawrence stepped out of a car in New York on Friday sporting both a mustache and a unibrow. Is the actress desperately in need of some waxing?

    No.

She was simply being her hilarious self.

Lawrence had reportedly been out to dinner. She returned home to the Tribeca Hotel, where she’s currently staying while hunting for an apartment in the city. When she stepped out of the car, it was plain to see she (or someone with her) had drawn a mustache and unibrow onto her face with a dark colored marker.

Sources say Jennifer Lawrence was in a great mood when returning from dinner, and–despite the mustache and unibrow–even stopped to sign autographs for fans.

This wasn’t the only silly thing Jennifer Lawrence did last week either. On Wednesday the Hunger Games actress walked down the street with chopsticks in her mouth, causing those both on the sidewalk and inside establishments she walked past to give her a double take. She’s certainly been in a giddy mood lately.

Perhaps Jennifer Lawrence is in such a great mood because she’s seeing Chris Martin again? The two have dated on and off for almost a year. She and the Coldplay front man–who was married to Gwyneth Paltrow–were spotted at a U2 concert and after party in L.A. earlier this month.

Chris Martin recently said during an interview with People magazine that he and Lawrence are “happier than ever.”

A recent rumor, however, has him cozying up to Kylie Minogue. Is there any truth to that?

Jennifer Lawrence will soon be back on the big screen in a film called Passengers, in which she stars alongside both Chris Pratt and Rachel McAdams. She’s likely giddy in part because of the $20 million paycheck she’s earning for the film.

You would no doubt sport a mustache and unibrow–and walk with chopsticks in your mouth–if you anticipated that kind of a pay day.

So what’s your best guess? Is it Chris Martin or the $20 million that has Jennifer Lawrence in such a great mood?

  • Courteney Cox Works With Ex, David Arquette, in Directorial Debut

Courteney Cox and David Arquette appear to be following Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin with their amicable split. The Friends star and her ex divorced in 2013. He is remarried and she is engaged to Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid. It’s not so much what Cox and Arquette do in their personal lives that might remind fans of Paltrow and Martin. The two work amicably–and creatively–in their professional lives as well.

Courteney Cox recently made her directorial debut with a film called Just Before I Go. One of the stars she directed was none other than ex-husband David Arquette.

“I love David’s performance in the movie,” Courteney Cox, whose drama is now available across all digital platforms including iTunes and Amazon Instant Video, told said in an interview with Us Weekly. “It’s so nice to direct someone you know so well because you know their go-tos and you know what they fall back on…I really liked working with him. David was really open–all the actors were–they really put a lot of trust in me, which was great.”

Cox is beyond excited about her new skill.

“I love it more than anything,” she said. “I’m directing a video for a band right now called Kodaline. They’re amazing. My fiancé [Johnny McDaid] had produced a track with them and when they were doing it at the studio, I said, ‘Guys, I have to direct this video.’ I felt it, I saw it.”

Courteney Cox is actively seeking a new major film to direct, too.

“I’m just looking right now, reading, and I have no idea what I want to do next, but I want it to be a character piece of some sort,” she explains. “I don’t know if it’ll be a comedy or a drama–I also love thrillers! I’m open.”

Will you check out Courteney Cox’s directorial debut, Just Before I Go, and see how David Arquette performs under his ex-wife’s direction?

Courteney Cox and David Arquette are the parents of one child, Coco Arquette, who is 10 years old. It is no doubt very grounding for her to observe her divorced parents’ healthy relationship.

  • Gwyneth Paltrow Failed the Food Stamp Challenge, But Taught the Lesson

Gwyneth Paltrow has caught a lot of flak for participating in a “food stamp challenge” from chef Mario Batali. But the naysayers are missing the point.

Gwyneth Paltrow took Mario Batali up on his challenge to feed her family on what many low-income people using the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly food stamps) do every month. The number $29 a week, was tossed out, which is not necessarily indicative of what a family would get, depending on income level. But it is on a par with what someone would get who is also trying to work and pay bills.

Gwyneth Paltrow only lasted four days in the challenge.

“As I suspected, we only made it through about four days, when I personally broke and had some chicken and fresh vegetables (and in full transparency, half a bag of black licorice),” she confessed. “My perspective has been forever altered by how difficult it was to eat wholesome, nutritious food on that budget, even for just a few days—a challenge that 47 million Americans face every day, week, and year.”

Some felt Gwyneth Paltrow should not have taken up the challenge in the first place, that it would be impossible for her to feel the pressure that a real poor family would feel. After all, she has millions of dollars waiting to rescue her anytime she taps out.

Many chided her for the kinds of items she chose to buy with her $29 food allowance during the week of the challenge. Her picture of her grocery haul showed what appeared to be the makings of a single Mexican dinner.

Some snidely suggested that Gwyneth Paltrow should have bought cheap food staples.

But what all these people miss is that this little experiment highlights something insidious. Sure, you can buy “food” with less money. But it’s crap food. It’s white bread, loads of starches, and meat that may or may not be what you want your kids to eat — if you can buy meat at all.

It was not a question of whether or not you can eat to survive. It’s about whether you can stay healthy, avoid diseases, and feed your kids the right things to fuel them for school and a long life.

Laugh at Gwyneth Paltrow all you want. She is right. You can’t really eat on SNAP money — which some people think should be cut even further — you can just get fat, foggy-brained, and ill on the cheapest society has to offer.

  • Gwyneth Paltrow And Chris Martin Go On Mexican Vacay Together With Their Kids

One year after Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin consciously uncoupled, the pair were seen having fun with their children on a beach in Mexico.

The two spent the spring break with their kids Apple, 10, and Moses, 8, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Paltrow was spotted wearing a little, black Marysia bikini while lounging next to her ex-husband as their children played on the beach. Martin was also seen spending time swimming, snorkeling and tubing with them.

The two exes also spent some quality time together, looking very happy and prompting one eyewitness to comment that “they seemed very comfortable and happy together. You wouldn’t know by looking at them that they aren’t together.”

Reports that these former love birds are spending time harmoniously together isn’t new, as they have been seen hanging out as a family several times since their break-up. Unfortunately for fans who’re still hoping that they would reconcile, Paltrow and Martin are just keen on keeping their promise to “always be a family.”

Despite making “conscious uncoupling” look easy, the Goop expert says it still entails a lot of hard work.

“The idea is you try to [separate] with minimal acrimony,” reveals the actress. She added that they do this by looking for all the positive aspects in their relationship. It seems to be working too. “And we actually have a really strong friendship, we laugh, we have fun,” Paltrow revealed in an interview.

Amazingly, this strong friendship hasn’t affected the duo’s current relationships.

The Coldplay lead singer has been seeing Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence on and off since August. But reports on how the 24-year-old star really feels about his chummy relationship with his ex-wife are confusing.

That doesn’t seem to bother Paltrow though as she’s been seen going out on low-key dates with Brad Falchuck, co-creator of American Horror Story and Glee. The two have been seen holding hands even though they haven’t publicly opened up about their relationship.

  • Bradley Cooper: Jennifer Lawrence Says ‘No Sex’ With Him

Bradley Cooper recently split from longtime girlfriend Suki Waterhouse, and he has a very distinct chemistry with Jennifer Lawrence. Might there be something in the future between these two? Probably, but it will no doubt be on the big screen.

Jennifer Lawrence recently talked about Bradley Cooper, and she even called him her ‘work husband.’ She made sure to share that there is “no sex” in their relationship, however.

Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence have starred together in films like Silver Linings Playbook , American Hustle and most recently Serena. The on screen chemistry between the two is truly amazing.

Bradley Cooper spoke recently about being cast with Jennifer Lawrence in these films.

“Honestly, it’s just happenstance,” he said. “We both got cast in Silver Linings, and she was going to this other movie and the role was open and so that worked out.”

Both Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence attended the Cinema Society and Dior Beauty hosted screening of the duo’s most recent film, Serena, in New York City on Saturday.

“I respect her so much as a professional, as an actor, and I think she’s the best there is,” Cooper said of Lawrence. “I just learn from her. You always want to work with people who are better than you.”

It seems the feeling is a mutual one.

“And I feel the same way about him,” Lawrence added.

It was at this gathering that she interjected the ‘no sex’ aspect of their relationship. In fact, Jennifer Lawrence has been involved in an on-again, off-again relationship with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.

Do you suppose now that Bradley Cooper and Suki Waterhouse are through, however, that he and Jennifer Lawrence might become something more–perhaps something with sex involved? After all, Chris Martin can’t seem to completely sever his ties with Gwyneth Paltrow.

  • Gwyneth Paltrow: ‘I Had No Idea What I Was Getting Into’

Gwyneth Paltrow is learning the hard way what it takes to be the face of a company. She isn’t just the name and profile behind Goop. She sits in meetings with VC investors. She is involved in the running of the company.

    She recently told Bloomberg:

“I didn’t realize that I would be taking on so much more risk. I was a fool. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. But I have to say it’s been incredibly rewarding. I learn so much everyday, and we’re at a really exciting time in the business right now. It’s amazing to be the creative force and to also understand what’s going on over on the fiscal side, with raising money and all that. It’s very challenging, you know. It’s a side to me that I didn’t necessarily know that I possessed.”

Many people come up with an idea, plot out a startup, and head out into the world to get money from people who have money to give. Even Gwyneth Paltrow had to sit across the table from those guys.

“[Fundraising and dealing with VC investors] has definitely been an interesting experience, out of my comfort zone. I still struggle with it ideologically a little bit, only because when those VCs come in, you’re beholden to them and the bottom line. So, I have trepidation about it, but it’s also exciting.”

But her reasons for getting personally involved were based in trying to leverage the power that her own name and face bring to bear for other companies.

“I started questioning being hired as a face to represent a company, and I always represented companies that I respected and that I was a customer of anyway. I started to question, as I’m doing this business on the side and building this brand, ‘What would it be like if I were to channel the power of that into my own brand? It would be sweat equity that I put into the company and also my own actual equity.’”

But she does not want to be the sole face of the business. In fact, she wants it to outgrow her. As she begins to distance herself from the brand that is literally built on her initials, she has a vision for what it would look like without her.

“I very much want Goop to be its own standalone brand. My dream would be that in 20 years, people would sort of recollect that I maybe had something to do with it at one point and my involvement would be less essential. I think that’s what we’re building toward, and I thin we’re doing it. It’ll be interesting to see. I never wanted to do a proprietary brand. I wanted it to be its own thing that my children could run one day if they wanted to.
