  • Natalie Cole: Late Singer’s Family Disappointed by Grammy Awards Tribute–or Lack Thereof

Natalie Cole was honored briefly at the Grammy Awards earlier this week, but certainly not in the way her sisters felt she deserved to have been remembered. Instead of a lengthy tribute, like David Bowie, Glenn Frey, and other music legends received, Natalie Cole was remembered with a short video remembrance at the end of a lengthy list.

“Sadly a FORGETTABLE tribute to Natalie Cole,” the singer’s sisters, twins Timolin and Casey Cole, said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight the day after the Grammys aired. “Words cannot express the outrage and utter disappointment at the disrespectful tribute, or lack thereof, to a legendary artist such as our sister.”

Natalie Cole’s sisters added that their father, Nat King Cole, was nominated for 21 Grammy Awards throughout his five decade career.

“It was shameless the way they minimized her legacy. We will find solace in her legacy as well as her endless fans around the world,” they added.

Actress Holly Robinson Peete took to social media to mention the lack of honor bestowed upon the late Natalie Cole at the Grammy Awards.

Talk show host Wendy Williams weighed in on Natalie Cole’s Grammys tribute this week.

Natalie Cole died on December 31 at the age of 65. Her hits included “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)” in the 1970s, along with a remake of “Unforgettable” alongside a video recording of her late father, Nat King Cole.

Did you feel Natalie Cole received a deserving remembrance at the Grammy Awards earlier this week? Or are you among those–including her sisters–who believe the late singer got the short end of the tribute stick?

  • Wendy Williams Not Impressed by Rob Kardashian’s Relationship With Blac Chyna

Wendy Williams chatted with Us Weekly this week about Rob Kardashian’s relationship with Blac Chyna, and she isn’t impressed. In fact, The Wendy Williams Show host thinks she knows what’s behind the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star’s bizarre choice of of a mate, saying it’s probably “making Kris (Jenner) crazy.”

“I feel like it’s an equal opportunity use for both of them,” Williams said. “And I think it’s getting back at that woman, Kris, it’s getting back at Kris.”

Khloe Kardashian apparently feels betrayed since Rob moved out of her home and in with Blac Chyna, calling it a “major blow to the family.”

Blac Chyna is the ex-girlfriend of Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend Tyga. She is also the mother of his child. Neither she nor Rob Kardashian is making any points with the Jenner-Kardashian family with their new relationship.

Wendy Williams thinks there’s more to the relationship, too.

“I also feel as though Blac Chyna and Rob, [production companies] are setting them up for a reality show,” she said. “And as soon as I smell that, I’m laying off conversation.”

Do you think Wendy Williams has hit the nail on its proverbial head? Is Blac Chyna gunning for a reality TV show starring her and Rob Kardashian?

Kylie Jenner likely feels incredibly betrayed by her brother, too. How strange that Rob suddenly emerges from seclusion, only to hook up with someone like Blac Chyna.

Is Wendy Williams also correct in assuming that Kris Jenner is unhappy about the relationship between her son and Blac Chyna?

How do you suppose his will wind up? Will the relationship dwindle once the hype dies down or are Rob and Blac Chyna in this for something real instead?

  • Wendy Williams Throws Major Shade at Kim Kardashian, Kanye West Following His Twitter Feud With Wiz Khalifa

Wendy Williams doesn’t mince words. She recently threw some major shade at both Kim Kardashian and Kanye West following his Twitter feud with Wiz Khalifa, and she didn’t hold anything back.

On Wednesday, Wiz Khalifa and Kanye West argued via Twitter after Kanye called Amber Rose–Wiz Khalifa’s ex and mother to his son–a stripper.

Amber Rose was, in fact, a stripper at one time. She also used to be Kanye’s girlfriend. But Kanye West certainly wasn’t thinking clearly when he pointed that out.

“The idea that he’s going after Wiz like this is crazy,” Wendy Williams said on The Wendy Williams Show on Thursday. “The idea that you’re talking about Amber being a stripper–you’re not saying anything that she hasn’t admitted herself. As a matter of fact, Kanye, you’re the one who gave this stripper her come-up and, by the way, we recall meeting your wife on her back.”

Williams is referring to Kim Kardashian’s sex tape with ex-boyfriend Ray J that leaked in 2007.

“I’m embarrassed for Kim Kardashian,” Wendy Williams continued. “I’m not even going to call you ‘West’ because clearly that’s not a real marriage. Like, why is Kanye still talking about [his ex] Amber? What kind of respect, or lack thereof, does he have for his new son, Saint, or his daughter? Why are you talking like that?”

Conflict between Wendy Williams and the Kardashian-Wests is nothing new. When Kim and Kanye were expecting baby Saint, Williams joked that they were likely hiding a surrogate from Thailand in their house.

Wendy Williams has a point with regard to Kanye West calling that proverbial kettle black. He really should think before he speaks–and then maybe keep his mouth shut anyway.

  • Giada de Laurentiis: Who is Her New Mystery Man? Is It Bobby Flay?

Giada de Laurentiis admitted during a conversation with Wendy Williams on The Wendy Williams Show Wednesday that there is a new man in her life. That’s all she admitted, however. Now speculation is running far and wide as to whom this mystery man might be. Bobby Flay, of course, is in the running.

When Williams brought up Bobby Flay, Giada de Laurentiis joked she’s been romantically linked to “anybody I laid eyes on even crossing the street.” Andy Cohen raised the same topic when Giada visited him on Watch What Happens Live! He said fans would love to see her linked because of their “great chemistry.”

“We do get together on Food Network Star,” Giada de Laurentiis said of Bobby Flay. “Well, we’re very good friends. We’ve worked for many years together, but I don’t think that’s ever going to happen because I’m smarter than that.”

    Ouch?

While Andy Cohen let the subject go, Wendy Williams was far more persistent.

“Are you in love?” she asked Giada de Laurentiis.

    “God!” De Laurentiis replied.

That didn’t answer the question, though, did it?

As recently as January, Giada has been linked to both Bobby Flay–who was in the process of his own divorce from Law & Order: SVU actress Stephanie March. She was also rumored to be dating singer John Mayer.

“That was a double whammy. That came out a long, long time ago, and then it came resurfaced again. I met John Mayer for like 30 seconds maybe like 10 years ago, and all of a sudden we slept together and had an affair and only God knows what,” she said.

Giada de Laurentiis will eventually tire of playing coy with interviewers and divulge the identity of this new–or not so new–man.

Do you think after the dust settles she will admit it is, in fact, Bobby Flay?

  • Wendy Williams Wows With 50-Pound Weight Loss, TV Host Unveils Her Secret

After a three-year transformation that allowed her to lose about 50 pounds, TV talk show host Wendy Williams has shared with her fans how she did it.

According to a report, the 51-year-old star shared what she did in order to change her looks and become more fit and healthy.

Williams revealed that instead of thinking of losing fat and weight, she changed her mindset that she’s doing this in order to fight heart disease.

In addition, the TV personality said that she does not “love food as much” as she did so in the past.

In the report, she was actually surprised that she managed to lose 50 pounds in three years, especially after engaging in all the “crazy diets” that she has been to.

Some of the dieting tips she shared in a Q&A video chat with her fans include cutting intake of meat, refined sugars and dairy. She also mentioned that she has not been eating after dark.

“Just push back, fatso. Just stop eating so much,” she shared.

Aside from taking out some of her bad habits, Williams has also reportedly learned good ones.

“I’ve picked up on other great habits like juicing,” she said.

The host has also began eating more nutritious foods like kale chips, and drinking coconut water instead of San Pellegrino soda, which she was reportedly addicted to in the past.

Moreover, Williams emphasized that trying to lose weight cannot be done overnight. The person should be patient enough and remember that “slow and steady is the name of the game.”

She has also engaged in physical activities such as gym workout, cardio exercises, and Pilates.

Before Wendy Williams decided to take dieting and fitness seriously, she has admitted that she had liposuction, tummy tuck, and even breast surgery in the past.

  • Wendy Williams Talks 50-Pound Weight Loss, First Dieted in First Grade

Wendy Williams has lost an impressive 50 pounds, but admits weight has long been an issue for her. In fact, she admits to first dieting in the first grade.

“My first diet was in the first grade! Tuna fish and mustard with yogurt on the side. Weight was a big thing for me to overcome,” she said following an episode of The Wendy Williams Show on Monday, when she answered fans questions.

So exactly how did Wendy Williams lose her weight? It is actually a combination of things that resulted–and continue to work to her advantage–in the change. She does both cardio and Pilates for strength, and she no longer eats red meat.

“I can’t say that that has made me lose weight because I already lost 50 pounds in three years, which I find to be amazing,” she said. “Because, of all the crazy diets I’ve been on, none have ever been as effective as [saying to myself], ‘Just push back, fatso. Just stop eating so much.’”

“And I don’t love food as much as I used to,” Wendy Williams, who has also dropped refined sugars, dairy and eating after dark, says.

She has also “picked up on other great habits like juicing.”

Williams shared a sweet story about her son’s reaction to her present health and fitness plan.

“My son said something to me this weekend that made me feel really good, but it’s not going to steer me off my path. He said, ‘Mommy, I don’t even know why you go to the gym. … Because you’re already skinny, you’ve got no weight to lose. You don’t need to go to the gym. Why do you go? It’s just a waste of your time and your money.’”

“I go to the gym because it’s not about me losing weight at this point, it’s about me trying to fight heart disease,” she explained.

Kudos to Wendy Williams on her amazing weight loss, but even more for sharing her wisdom with her fans. Because she didn’t rely on a fad diet or extreme measures to lose the 50 pounds, she serves as an excellent example to all who aim to follow in her footsteps.

  • Wendy Williams Told Herself ‘Stop Eating So Much Fatso’

Wendy Williams looks great these days, and she says you can thank the tried and true method of “just not eating so much” for her weight loss.

Williams recently talked weight loss in her after show segment. Williams said she has struggled with her weight since she was a small child, recalling her first diet food (Tuna fish and mustard).

Williams talked exercise, saying she did lots of cardio and pilates.

But no crazy diet helped her with her sustained weight loss – only slow and steady eating right.

“I can’t say [not eating meat] has made me lose weight because I already lost 50 lbs. in three years, which I find to be amazing. Because, of all the crazy diets I’ve been on, none have ever been as effective as [saying to myself], ‘Just push back, fatso. Just stop eating so much.’”

Williams said she just “doesn’t love food as much as [she] used to.”

    Check out her tips below:

“Slow and steady is the name of the game. It’s not going to happen overnight. I no longer believe in fad diets, crash diets. I don’t believe in diet pills. I don’t want my heart to race and pop out of my chest. Yes, I did have a jump-start because years ago I did get the liposuction and a tummy tuck, but I have to say that, if there is a poster child for plastic surgery and the jump-off to a new lifestyle, it would be me.”

  • Wendy Williams Started Dieting in the First Grade

Wendy Williams has been overweight. Wendy Williams has been thinner. She likes thinner better.

The talk show star said recently that her son was perplexed about her exercise regimen, given that she is thin now.

“My son said something to me this weekend that made me feel really good” Williams said, “but it’s not going to steer me off my path. He said, ‘Mommy, I don’t even know why you go to the gym. … Because you’re already skinny, you’ve got no weight to lose. You don’t need to go to the gym. Why do you go? It’s just a waste of your time and your money.’ ”

Williams revealed that she has had struggles with her weight all her life, even trying crazy diets as a very young child.

“My first diet was in the first grade! Tuna fish and mustard with yogurt on the side. Weight was a big thing for me to overcome,” Wendy Williams said.

But now that she is thinner, why does Williams hit the gym so hard?

“I go to the gym because it’s not about me losing weight at this point, it’s about me trying to fight heart disease,” Williams explained. “I can’t say that that has made me lose weight because I already lost 50 lbs. in three years, which I find to be amazing. Because, of all the crazy diets I’ve been on, none have ever been as effective as [saying to myself], ‘Just push back, fatso. Just stop eating so much.’ And I don’t love food as much as I used to.”

Williams’ own weight loss was a gradual thing. She took three years to lose 50 pounds.

  • Wendy Williams Accuses Kim Zolciak of Faking Stroke, ‘DWTS’ Pro Tony Dovolani Comes to Her Defense

Wendy Williams indicated on her show Monday that she thinks Kim Zolciak may have faked having a stroke. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills suffered a mini stroke–or transient ischemic attack–last week. A contestant on Dancing With the Stars, she was eliminated by the powers-that-be from the show this week, because of her illness.

Pro dance partner Tony Dovolani is disgusted with Wendy Williams’s insinuation, and is quick to come to Kim Zolciak’s defense.

“She had a headache. She was dizzy. You could see her veins on her left arm,” Dovolani said. “On Tuesday night, when were dancing, I was like, ‘Babe, you’re not yourself. Get your head in the game.’ By the time we got to Atlanta, we parted with each other, I went to the hotel and she went home–I could tell she wasn’t her chipper self.”

Wendy Williams discussed Kim Zolciak’s condition during the “Hot Topics” segment of her show.

“She allegedly suffered a mini stroke after returning home from Dancing With the Stars last week,” Williams said. “My thought is, um, I hope you’re not fibbing about the stroke.”

She added that when she was a contestant on DWTS that she “wanted to get off” the show, too. Wendy Williams was also partnered with Tony Dovolani.

“Kim, at 37 years old, if you did have a mini stroke, I’m sorry to hear about that. If, however, you just wanted to get off Dancing with the Stars, all you had to do was just stub your toe,” Wendy Williams said.

Kim Zolciak is unhappy that she was eliminated from Dancing With the Stars because of her stroke. The show has an illness clause, and likely sees her as a current liability. She and Tony Dovolani are both petitioning DWTS to allow her to come back.

What’s your take on Wendy Williams accusing Kim Zolciak of faking her stroke? Is this uncalled for? Might there be some bad blood between these two somewhere in their pasts?

  • Wendy Williams Takes Scary Fall During Comedy Tour

Wendy Williams took a nasty tumble while on her comedy tour in Houston on Saturday night. The comedian and host of The Wendy Williams Show was about to take the stage on her Sit Down Tour…Too Real For Stand Up tour when the mishap occurred.

As the music started playing to usher in Wendy Williams, she grabbed the mic and began to cross the stage. That’s when one simple misstep led to a pretty dangerous fall.

Fortunately Williams didn’t sustain any serious injuries. She handled the fall like a pro, too, even incorporating it into the night’s comedy.

“Shut the f–k up, okay? There’s the fall that never happened!” she joked to the audience after the fall. “Put that on YouTube.”

“Number one, this is like our seventh city on our twelve-city comedy tour. Number two, every stage is different. I didn’t see that s–t. I am 12 feet tall…but you caught it right? Did you catch my 51-year-old recovery?” she added.

Wendy Williams also shared a self-deprecating Tweet about her mishap on Sunday.

    https://twitter.com/WendyWilliams/status/630454737289281537

Fans were no doubt relieved to learn that Wendy Williams wasn’t serious injured during her fall in Houston on Saturday. Those at the show likely breathed a collective sigh of relief that the show went on.

Those who haven’t been fortunate enough to catch Wendy Williams during one of her Sit Down Tour…Too Real For Stand Up shows will be happy to know she will return to The Wendy Williams Show this fall. All new episodes start back up beginning on September 14.

  • Wendy Williams Wants To Be The Fifth 1D Member? Says Zayn Malik Should Be Kicked Out Of Band

The Wendy Williams Show host Wendy Williams feels Zayn Malik’s bowing out of One Direction is not a big deal at all.

“I feel as though if you can do five-part harmony, it’s just as easy to do four-part harmony,” she said, dismissing Malik’s absence from the popular boy band. “I say kick this guy out of the group because now, that’s more money for the rest of us. We don’t have to split our money five ways.”

Malik, 22, announced earlier this month that he will be taking a hiatus due to stress. The heartthrob broke the hearts of millions of screaming girls worldwide when he decided to fly back home to the U.K. and be with his family instead of continuing with One Direction’s Asian tour.

“I admire him for standing in his own truth, which is that being a celebrity — particularly as a young person — it’s a lot and all he wants to do is go back and live a normal life,” Williams explained to exasperated 1D fans. “I appreciate people who stand in their own truths, so if this is what this guy wants, kick him out of the band.”

“We don’t need to audition anybody new,” Williams said, sparking rumors of her being the new “fifth guy” of the band.

Williams, who is well known for her witty tactlessness and expert gossips, will host and produce a new, six-episode, TV series, entitled Death by Gossip with Wendy Williams. The show will recount murders brought about by dirty rumors.

“It’s the stuff that happens in towns and cities everywhere, where you’ve got the principal sleeping with the manager at the local store and she’s married — and it ends in death,” says Williams. “They’re cases full of gossip, like the game of ‘telephone.’”

Death by Gossip with Wendy Williams will premier this fall and will feature re-enactments of real-life murder cases narrated by Williams.

  • Wendy Williams Thinks One Direction Should Ditch Zayn Malik, Why?

Wendy Williams thinks One Direction should ditch Zayn Malik for good. Why? And what does it matter to the talk show host?

The topic came up for discussion on a recent episode of The Wendy Williams Show, and Williams simply voiced her opinion. Zayn Malik abandoned his One Direction band mates–Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne–and headed home to the U.K. recently, citing stress as the reason behind his departure.

“I feel as though if you can do five-part harmony, it’s just as easy to do four-part harmony,” she said of Malik. “I say kick this guy out of the group because now, that’s more money for the rest of us. We don’t have to split our money five ways.”

Now lest One Direction fans decide to plan some verbal attack on Wendy Williams, rest assure she understands Zayn Malik’s side of things, too.

“I admire him for standing in his own truth, which is that being a celebrity–particularly as a young person–it’s a lot and all he wants to do is go back and live a normal life,” Wendy Williams explained. “I appreciate people who stand in their own truths, so if this is what this guy wants, kick him out of the band.”

Of course it’s important to note that a rumor had Zayn Malik running home to the U.K. after a purported cheating scandal. He and Little Mix star Perrie Edwards are engaged, and he denies the cheating claims.

What’s your take on Wendy Williams and her very vocal opinion about One Direction and Zayn Malik? Do you think the boy band is considering ditching Zayn–or are they counting the days until he (hopefully) returns?

  • Wendy Williams Says Fire Brian Williams After Iraq War Memory Lie

Wendy Williams, the New Jersey talk-show host, is among the many critics calling for NBC’s Brian Williams to be fired following his apparent Iraq War memory fabrication.

“I really have very little to nothing to say about the next story, because my answer is fire him and he has no more credibility with me, period,” Wendy Williams said Friday on the Hot Talk segment of her television program.

CNN anchor Don Lemon, comedian Heather McDonald and television personality Siggy Flicker joined Williams during the segment.

“OK, he told the same story years ago on David Letterman. David Letterman actually drooled and said ‘I’ve been waiting for you to come and tell the story.’ After he told it, Letterman called him, he said, ‘You’re not a man — you’re a hero.’ And Brian, you sat there like a narcissist and sucked it up,” Wendy Williams said.

“He’s supposed to be the most credible newsman of our time,” she said. “I believe he needs to lose his job.”

Brian Williams is in a world of bad after coming under fire this week after a story that he was in a helicopter that was shot down while he was covering the Iraq War in 2003 was called out by the military newspaper Stars and Stripes.

Brian Williams apologized during Wednesday’s edition of the nightly news, but it is unclear whether his career can weather the storm.

Further accusations of fabricating stories emerged Thursday when The New Orleans Advocate questioned Brian Williams‘ career-boosting claim that he contracted dysentery after drinking contaminated water while covering Hurricane Katrina.

“It’s gonna be tough for him, I think, right now he should put his head down and do his job and see how the public reacts,” said Lemon. “And I’m looking for a better explanation, or a more solid explanation.”

Wendy Williams was adamant on her stand to see him fired.

“We don’t need a better one — he lied about being a hero,” she said.

Flicker suggested America be the judge and jury.

“He bragged about something that didn’t happen and he got caught. He created his own drama, he deserves, now, his own karma. End of story,” said Flicker. “And guess what? Let America — let America vote. Let’s see if his ratings stay the same or they go down.”

Lemon said Wendy Williams’ expectations of news anchors were too high.

“I also think, too, when you think of the old-school newsperson like you said, you know, ‘the voice of God,’ I think those days are long gone and that’s just a fallacy,” Lemon told Wendy Williams.

“OK, they might be long gone in some peoples’ minds, but when you look at Brian Williams, I still consider him to have to walk the same line of Walter Cronkite and them,” Wendy Williams said. “And now, he’s got no credibility to me. If he told me the sky was blue, I’d have to go outside and look for myself. I’m sorry.”

  • Bruce Jenner Gets Dissed By Wendy Williams, Questions His Sexuality

Talk show host Wendy Williams is getting flak yet again for making insensitive transgender-related comments—this time, over her comments regarding Bruce Jenner and his recent change in appearance. Bruce Jenner, the former Olympian and ex-spouse of Kris Jenner, became the subject of the “Hot Topics” segment in Wendy Williams’ talk show.

Williams zoned in on a recent picture of Jenner that showed the TV personality sporting dark pink nail polish on his neatly manicured fingers. Wendy Williams discussed the various changes that Jenner underwent in recent years. “He started by shaving down his Adam’s apple. Then we’ve seen him with a beautiful blowout. … You know, he seems to be going through something. But to add fuel to the fire, to celebrate his 65th birthday, he treated himself to a bright pink manicure”, the talk show host said.

A misquote from The Wrap made matters worse for Williams:

“Thank God he waited for his kids to grow up before making this transition or whatever it is he’s going through. Can you imagine how awful it would be for those kids if he showed up with a blowout, a shaved Adam’s apple, pink nail polish and smoking a cigarette at a PTA meeting? Could you imagine?”

The quote has since been corrected, but not before GLAAD President Sarah Kate Ellis issued a statement saying “To suggest that a person’s nail polish colour or hairstyle would inflict harm on their children is just ludicrous. What does inflict harm, however, is gross and invasive speculation about a person’s gender identity.”

This isn’t the first time that Williams has speculated on Jenner’s sexuality. In a previous episode, she teased Jenner by saying “Bruce Jenner is reportedly dating… a woman! And her name is Ron…da”.

She was referring to Jenner’s alleged relationship with Ronda Kamihira, who was Kris Jenner’s former assistant and confidant. The two reportedly began dating immediately right after Bruce and Kris’ divorce became public last September.

  • Wendy Williams: Jennifer Lawrence Is Overreacting

Wendy Williams does’t shy away from much at all.

The boisterous host of The Wendy Williams Show spoke recently about of Jennifer Lawrence’s photo leaks on her show.

She didn’t have any pity for the Hunger Games star at all, unlike most people.

Finally breaking her silence to Vanity Fair, Jennifer Lawrence said that those who looked at the photos meant only for ex-boyfriend Nicholas Hoult were “perpetuating a sexual offense” and “should cower with shame”.

Then she added, “At the same time, I’m thinking, I didn’t tell you that you could look at my naked body. It’s my body, and it should be my choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting.”

However, Wendy Williams didn’t see it the same way.

Williams said of Jennifer Lawrence’s predicament, “Um, it’s not your choice, it’s in the Cloud and I’ve looked several times. So I guess I’m disgusting for looking?”

Wendy Williams then put the question to her audience, “Clap if you’ve looked at Jennifer Lawrence’s hacking pictures.”

There were a few brave clappers, but then she added, “Clap if you’re lying because you really did look.”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyGjaI_Xog8

She then turned the blame to Jennifer Lawrence, herself, saying, “Jennifer Lawrence, you wanna know what? Don’t sweat this, young lady. I mean, you’re the one who took the pictures.”

    Ouch.

Jennifer Lawrence has a pretty solid argument against the you’re-the-one-who-took-them argument.

“Just because I’m a public figure, just because I’m an actress, does not mean that I asked for this,” she says.

She continued, “It does not mean that it comes with the territory. It’s my body, and it should be my choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting. I can’t believe that we even live in that kind of world. ”

I think, I hope, that is the sentiment of most people concerning the whole mess.

What do you think? Do you lean more toward Wendy Williams’ point of view on the photo leak scandal or more toward Jennifer Lawrence’s?

  • Wendy Williams Dishes About Her Career And Talk Show

Wendy Williams has accomplished a lot in her career.

Williams, who began her career working as a radio personality in 1989, eventually became one of the most notable media personalities on air.

In 2008, she transitioned from radio to television as the host of her own syndicated talk show, The Wendy Williams Show.

During a recent interview, Williams dished about her show, which has been renewed through the 2018 television season. She revealed the show is definitely her “crown jewel,” reports Orlando Sentinel.

“The show is absolutely the crown jewel of anything I could ever dream of in my career,” said Williams. “People ask me what I want to do next. I want to stay on this TV until I’m ready to leave, and I don’t want to be kicked out.”

Since The Wendy Williams Show premiered on July 14, 2008, many other celebrities have also tried their hand at syndicated talk show television and failed. But, Williams revealed she credits her show’s success to one thing – her live studio audience!

“They’re my people. They come, and everybody’s so opinionated,” Williams said. “You attract what you put out. The people in the audience — a lot of us are one and the same. Straight, no chaser.”

Williams also opened up about her appearance, and how it’s vital to look a certain way in her line of work. Since she has such a big personality, her appearance has to stand out just as much!

“I can’t have little hair with my big personality. I turned something negative into something positive,” she said. “Even though I’m full of jokes, I wear mine for health-related issues. I would never remove my wig on TV for ratings. I don’t wear wigs for jokes. I wear them for real. Now I wear them for business.”

Although Williams has ventured outside of television as an author and actress, she still insists her show will always come first!

“I like having my side projects now, but the mother ship is ‘The Wendy Williams Show.’ If that’s not right, nothing’s right,” she said. “Everybody needs a frivolous outlet at least an hour a day.”

  • Wendy Williams: “Clap If You’ve Looked At Jennifer Lawrence’s Hacking Pictures”

Jennifer Lawrence finally broke her silence in the latest issue of Vanity Fair about the nude photos of her that numbered among those stolen by hackers and leaked online. However, talk show host Wendy Williams recently expressed her disagreement with Lawrence on the actor’s comments that anyone who looked at her photos was also committing a sexual offense.

Last Wednesday, Williams gave her two cents about Lawrence’s comments in Vanity Fair during the Hot Topics portion of The Wendy Williams Show. “Um, it’s not your choice, it’s in the Cloud and I’ve looked several times. So I guess I’m disgusting for looking?” Williams asked. She then asked her audience to clap if they’d looked at Lawrence’s pictures as well, which garnered a smattering of applause.

One of the points that Williams talked about was how Lawrence said in the Vanity Fair interview that she took those photos for the sake of her long-distance relationship, in the hopes that her boyfriend would look at her instead of porn. However, Williams countered the comment by saying, “Men would look at both.”

Williams reportedly said that if Lawrence “would just stop talking about the Cloud and the naked pictures” that the matter would “go away.”

“Besides, Jen, you don’t look bad under your clothes and I think the ‘hackilation’ has actually made your career even hotter. ‘Cause she was red hot before but now it’s like heat-seeking missile hot. So hold your head up with pride!” Williams said.

Despite their honesty, the comments made by Williams unfortunately don’t quite address the fact that Lawrence did not give people permission to look at her naked photos, including the TV host. MTV.com said that hackers not only stole Lawrence’s photos but gave people like Williams the false impression that they were entitled to look at them.

  • Wendy Williams Show Back for New Season in 1st Place

The Wendy Williams Show is back for a brand new season–its sixth–and has earned the coveted top spot in the daytime talk show demographic of women in the ages 25 to 54 bracket. Way to go, Wendy. That’s quite an honor, seeing as how she beat out shows like Ellen, Dr. Phil, and Live! With Kelly and Michael. Madam Noire reports the show has seen a fifty percent increase in ratings since season five.

The Wendy Williams Show distributors, Mort Marcu and Ira Bernstein–also co-presidents of Debmar-Mercury–issued a statement to the media regarding the show’s success.

“This is an amazing accomplishment. To have the No. 1 show in the category most important to advertisers, a record-setting household performance and phenomenal year-to-year growth is astounding. It is a lasting testament to Wendy, their fantastic team and the many stations across the country that have believed so strongly in Wendy. We couldn’t be more thrilled,” the statement read.

App.com says of Wendy Williams, “She keeps her fingers on the pulse of celebs, from the Kardashians to Chris Brown. Last October, she said she’d eat crow if Kim Kardashian and Kanye West actually got married and stayed together longer than the 72 days Kardashian was previously wed to basketball player Kris Humphries.”

“I am a woman of my word,” said Williams during a conference call with the press last week. “I stopped at a red light. I was driving the other day and looked to my left and saw a crow crossing the street. I said, ‘Oh my gosh, they are so small. They have very little meat.’”

In recent days the Wendy Williams Show has hyped viewers–and the press–by Wendy’s revelation that she has been treated in the past by the same doctor who performed the throat procedure on Joan Rivers–the one that ultimately cost the comedienne her life. Williams saw the doctor last summer.

Wendy Williams assured her fans that Gwen Korovin–the doctor in the Joan Rivers case–didn’t have to operate on her.

    “Thank god!” she added.

Even more interesting, however, is this.

“She doesn’t take insurance! Believe me, I gagged about that. Fortunately, because I went to see her on TV time, TV paid for it. Although, that special was a Wendy Williams production so somehow, I paid for it!” the talk show host said.

Are you a fan of the Wendy Williams Show? Does it surprise you that she has beat out Ellen DeGeneres, Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan, and Dr. Oz for the daytime women’s 25 to 54-year-old age bracket?

Best wishes to Wendy Williams as she embarks on what will no doubt be a highly successful sixth season of her show.

  • Aaliyah Biopic Finds A New Lead Actress

Aaliyah Biopic Finds A New Lead Actress

Aaliyah was a rising star in her teens; by the time she turned 21, she had broken into Hollywood and dominated music charts with her infectious beats. Her tragic death in a plane crash at the age of 22 left fans heartbroken around the world and led to a lengthy lawsuit after it was determined that the pilot of the plane had cocaine and alcohol in his system, and since 2001 those who loved the young star have tried to cope with the loss of such a creative talent. Now, a Lifetime movie looks to bring her story to the small screen to help do just that.

The movie has not been without problems, however; in June it was announced that actress Zendaya Coleman was leaving the project due to criticism from the star’s family. Earlier this month, producers announced Coleman had been replaced by Nickelodeon star Alexandra Shipp, best known for roles in Alvin And The Chipmunks: The Squeakuel and House Of Anubis.

Talk show host Wendy Williams will be one of the producers of the movie and tweeted about the change in cast recently:

Coleman spoke out recently on why she dropped out of filming, saying it wasn’t because of the criticism she received but because she didn’t feel the production was where it should have been.

“The reason why I chose not to do the Aaliyah movie had nothing to do with the haters or people telling me I couldn’t do it, I wasn’t talented enough or I wasn’t black enough. The production value wasn’t there. And I tried my best to reach out to the family on my own and I wrote a letter, but I was unable to do so. Therefore I felt not really morally okay with moving forward with the project,” she said.

There is currently no premiere date for the movie, but it is set to air this year.

  • Wendy Williams Cries on Air About Family Troubles

Wendy Williams broke down crying on her talk show this week about some family troubles she’s been experiencing. Recently having problems with her 13-year-old son, she cried about her fear that her son doesn’t like her.

As anyone with children knows, parenting isn’t always a picnic, and sometimes things get incredibly hard to handle. Mothers love their children and when they don’t reciprocate that love, it hurts–and it hurts bad.

Wendy broke down during a segment she was doing on Madonna and her son Rocco. You’ve no doubt heard the recent news where Madonna used the N-word when captioning an Instagram photo of her son recently. It was while talking about the interesting dynamics between mothers and sons that Wendy started to cry.

“What I discovered this weekend is my son doesn’t like me anymore,” Williams said, sobbing. “You know how it is, I know what it is. … I discovered this a while ago, but the ball just got smacked home this weekend.”

She also talked about how moms often get a bad rap.

“He’s all into his father. You know how 13-year-olds are. … But it is breaking my heart. He says things to me like, ‘Why are you so pissed?’ Like I’m pissed all the time! Like I’m the one with the problem,” Williams said. “Thank God he has his buddy and father. They talk sneakers, they go for haircuts, they speed off in the cars and I’m just left there!”

After the show, a Twitter follower sent Wendy Williams the following message of encouragement.

Wendy Williams knows all too well how it feels to have a 13-year-old son and discipline him in her effort to mold him into a decent young man, only to have him throw it back in her face and then leave with his dad–likely talking about how difficult his mother is.

Is there a hard and fast solution to her problem? No–as long as she’s dealing with nothing more than typical teen boy stuff–and that’s what she believes it is. In fact, she admits she often behaved the same way he is behaving now. She needs to keep her eyes and ears open–as she’s no doubt doing–to make sure something more isn’t in play, however. If that’s the case, it’s time to involve his father–and fast.

Madonna made a big mistake by using the N-word like it was no big deal with Rocco–at least that’s the consensus of many parents. Wendy Williams will likely dry her tears and go right back to being hated by her son–until he finally wakes up (and some boys take longer than others to do so) and realizes she’s been on his side all along.

  • Wendy Williams Sobs: “My Son Doesn’t Like Me Anymore”

Wendy Williams became pretty emotional on her talk show Monday. The 49-year-old TV host opened up to the audience about her relationship with her 13-year-old son.

The topic that led to her emotional moment was about Madonna and a controversial Instagram photo she posted of her son.

On the caption of the picture Madonna wrote: “No one messes with Dirty Soap! Mama said knock you out! #disn***a.”

Madonna’s use of the “n” word, of course, has been the talk of the town. Although she’s issued an apology via her Facebook Page it seems that this will yet again turn into a racial debate like any other episode where a celebrity has used the word; like Paula Deen for instance.

However, that is beside the point, so back to the weeping celebrity “gossiper.”

Instead of Williams actually addressing the debatable topic at hand, she turned around to view the photo projected behind her and immediately started tearing up.

“First of all, I want you to know, Rocco is 13 years old and Rocco is a real fan of his mother. What I discovered this weekend is that my son doesn’t like me anymore,” she said on the show.

She went on to explain how her son, Kevin, criticizes her “pissy” attitude. Yet, William clearly defends her own self by mentioning how he is a teenager going through the usual phase of puberty.

As she wiped away tears, Williams shared with her audience how her son and husband, Kevin Hunter, spend time together while she’s left out of their plans.

“He’s all into his father. You know how 13-year-olds are. I was the same way when I was 13, but it is breaking my heart.”

The whole thing sounds a bit like jealousy, eh?

Nevertheless, William completely switches up her feelings towards being an outcast by speaking something positive about Kevin’s close relationship with his father.

“At this time, I can’t understand men who disappear from their kids’ lives,” she said. “Thank God he has his buddy and father.”

Williams even subtly mentioned to the audience that she doesn’t have her period, which could indicate that she is going through menopause. Well, that would DEFINITELY explain her little break down on national TV.
