  • Ariel Winter Sides With Kim Kardashian, Noting Justin Bieber Wasn’t Bashed For ‘Nude Guitar Photo’

Modern Family actress Ariel Winter is on the side to #TeamKim after reality star Kim Kardashian West received a social media spanking of posting a couple of nude selfies.

According to Just Jared, Kardashian posted a throwback naked selfie via Instagram on Monday, March 7. After receiving a slaying on social media with celebrities and critics reacting to the pic on social media, Kardashian posted a second photo on Tuesday.

“No one was body shaming @justinbieber when he posted his nude guitar photo so why @KimKardashian? #herbodyherchoice #InternationalWomensDay,” Winter, 18, tweeted in Kim’s defense on Tuesday. “I think everyone, men and women, should have the right to choose what they do with their bodies — and not be criticized.”

The photo Ariel refers to is one obtained and published by TMZ of Beiber in August 2013.

Other celebrities defending Kim Kardashian besides Ariel Winter include Chrissy Teigen, Kylie Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian.

Those on the flipside include everyone from Bette Midler — with whom Kardashian had a flat out Twitter war with the funny lady over the photos — to Piers Morgan and Chloe Grace Moretz.

Winter is very outspoken against body-shamers. The 18-year-old actress bashed critics following her appearance at the 2016 SAG Awards in January, when her breast reduction scars were visible as she walked the red carpet at the time.

“Guys there is a reason I didn’t make an effort to cover up my scars!” she tweeted after the event. “They are part of me and I’m not ashamed of them at all. :)”

  • Cilla Black: British Singer, TV Personality Died of Stroke from Head Injury

She was sunbathing at her Spanish villa when she stood up and apparently lost her balance–fell, and hit her head. The head injury caused the stroke. According to the BBC, she didn’t suffer, but fell unconscious immediately.

Now that they have received the conclusive results from her autopsy, Cilla Black’s three sons have received permission to fly their mother’s body home to the UK.

“We are devastated by the sad loss of our mother, but have been deeply touched by all the kind messages of support from her friends, fans, the public and media,” Robert, Ben, and Jack Willis said in a statement to the press.

“We would like to thank everyone, especially the people of Liverpool. The tributes and condolences have really helped us through these difficult times. The Spanish authorities have now told us we are able to bring Mum home, which we hope to do as quickly as possible. We would also like to thank all those involved for their assistance with this matter. We respectfully request for our continued privacy to grieve.”

Several noted celebrities have shared their shock and grief at the sudden passing of Cilla Black.

It is clear that the UK has lost a great talent and Cilla Black’s sons have lost a great woman.

May Cilla Black rest in peace.

  • Kylie Jenner Says the Joke is On You All

Kylie Jenner Says the Joke is On You All

Kylie Jenner has been laughed at and chided for some of the things she says and posts on social media.

Recently the KUWTK star caused waves in the media when she posted a picture that followed the conspiracy theory that airplane condensation trails (contrails) are actually “chemtrails” sprayed by some corporate entity to kill bees.

The picture showed a blue sky criss-crossed with airplane trails, the kind you can see when you look up on almost any clear day. It had text superimposed on it followed an incredibly slippery slope of logical fallacies to a stunning implied conclusion:

    Lets ask ourselves…
Why did I see 75 planes spraying white stuff into the sky on my 15 minute drive to work?
Who pays for this and why is it happening?
    Is something being exterminated?
    Is that something me?
Does this have anything to do with why Honey Bees are Dying off really fast?
Why are some days normal with no planes spraying and others look like this?
    Who is responcible [sic]?
What effect will this have on our health and our childrens future?
WHO THE F#*% THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA?
Am I the only one who sees this?

All it takes is a quick Google search to learn what many of us were told in elementary school about contrails. Here is what NASA says:

“Contrails are clouds formed when water vapor condenses and freezes around small particles (aerosols) that exist in aircraft exhaust.”

And the reason you see more contrails on some days than others? It’s all about the temperature and humidity levels at those altitudes on any given day. Are the conditions right for vapor trail formation?

Kylie Jenner was questioned about the picture, especially some obvious spelling and grammar errors. She says she did not make the picture, just posted it.

Given this and other social media oddities, especially on Snapchat, Kylie Jenner’s actions have been questioned. But Kylie Jenner gave us an unprovoked peek into her thoughts on this when she tweeted:

“Instagram is a made up world. I just show people what I want em to see. Doesn’t everybody?”

Kylie Jenner is part of a family that shows people what they want them to see. And they know what pays. Piers Morgan once said of Kim Kardashian:

“It’s time for me to make a shocking admission: I like and admire Kim Kardashian-West. Kim doesn’t take drugs, get drunk, fall out of clubs, cheat on her man, or do any of the other insanely louche things that stars with far greater ‘talent’ often do. She works ridiculously hard, is good to her fans, and is by all accounts a good, loving daughter, sister, wife and now mom herself. Kim Kardashian-West’s laughing all the way to the bank. And all you lazy, snide, snobbish, patronizing and hypocritical critics can go kiss her ass – there’s plenty of room.”

  • Kim Kardashian Talks About Her Haters, Teaching Nori to Handle It

Kim Kardashian-West has more than her share of haters. In an interview accompanying her recent Vogue Australia cover shoot, Kardashian talked about her detractors.

“Everyone has critics,” she said. “I think it’s really hard to live in a world where there’s so many people judging you.”

But Kim rolls with those punches adroitly, promising to train up her daughter North to handle them, as well.

“I’m gonna teach my daughter to be really strong,” she said.

Kim Kardashian had a heck of a 2014. She and beau Kanye West got married. She released a game app that climbed high and fast in app stores, making her a millions more.

Then came Kim’s famous “break the Internet” shoot for Paper magazine. The haters came pouring out of the woodwork for that one. In the wake of that event, which was a huge net positive for Kardashian, Piers Morgan rode to her defense, claiming to be an admirer of Kim.

“Of course, she’s heard it all before, ever since that sex tape was leaked and propelled her into the kind of instant, gigantic cyberspace notoriety that can either crush a woman or make her so strong and impervious to criticism that she builds a $1 billion brand.

“Kim’s in the latter category and people hate her for it.

“They resent her global fame, her immense wealth, her marriage to one of the world’s most brilliant music icons. Above all, they loathe her resolute refusal to bow to all the bitter venom that spews its way in her direction.”

Kim addressed one reason some people may hate her.

“I think the biggest misconception about me is probably that I don’t work hard and everything comes easy,” she said. “I like to prove people wrong and just live my life and do what I do and work hard and I’m proud of that.”

Morgan summed up his take on Kardashian’s haters this way:

“Kim Kardashian-West’s laughing all the way to the bank. And all you lazy, snide, snobbish, patronizing and hypocritical critics can go kiss her ass – there’s plenty of room.”

Kim posted a sample of her Vogue Australia work to her Instagram account, saying:

“I truly am so honored to have worked with one of style icons, fashion director @Centenera for this cover for @VogueAustralia and shoot in one of my favorite places in the world, Australia! Thank you Gilles Bensimon for these gorgeous pics! Can’t wait to see the rest out Monday!”

  • Piers Morgan: You Haters Can All Kiss Kim Kardashian’s Ass

Piers Morgan is like that little boy who shouted, “The emperor has no clothes on!”

Piers Morgan has a reputation for calling it as he sees it. From his time as judge on America’s Got Talent to his stint as host successor to Larry King’s old time slot on CNN, Morgan was not afraid to tell someone they were shockingly full of it. Nor was he afraid to point out true talent or worth.

Now Piers Morgan is saying something else that needs to be said: Everybody needs shut their pie-hole about Kim Kardashian’s latest Internet-breaking pics.

In an op-ed piece for The Daily Mail, Morgan had high praise for Kim Kardashian, not as an observer from afar, but as a man who has spoken with her at length.

Kardashian wowed everyone — for better or worse, depending on your opinion — with a set of photos for Paper Magazine shot by Jean-Paul Goude. One showed Kim in a black dress with a champagne glass balanced on her ample behind, another displayed her bare bottom, and another showed her body in a full frontal pose. Before the full frontal even hit, the butt shot had its own reality show.

Response to the photos was quick and merciless from some quarters. Twitter exploded — which may be the only thing Twitter ever does.

A spate of Photoshop aficionados launched memes.

Glee’s Naya Rivera responded to Kim’s Instagram post of the shot with, “I normally don’t. But…you’re someone’s mother…”

One conservative site tried to use Naya Rivera’s disapproval to prove some bizarre point about liberals.

“Kim should explain why doing this wasn’t damaging to her kid. She can’t, so she won’t. Instead, she laughs it off. Classic Obama voter move.”

Why exactly Kim Kardashian owed this guy any sort of explanation — or why he believes she’ll ever see his thrown challenge — is unclear. But presumably he says this about every celebrity who shows the world his or her ass. If that is the case, then keep up the anti-butt fight, crusader. If not, then Piers Morgan has a message for you. Stay tuned.

Morgan gave his impression of Kim Kardashian herself, based on meeting and interviewing the woman.

[In interviews] I found her to be a warm, unpretentious, honest and rather charming young lady. I’ve met her a few more times at parties. She’s always exactly the same – friendly, chatty, and completely lacking in the searing insincerity and delusions of grandeur that so many stars with ‘real talent’ exude.

He notes that Kim is no stranger to the kinds of vitriol you read above.

Of course, she’s heard it all before, ever since that sex tape was leaked and propelled her into the kind of instant, gigantic cyberspace notoriety that can either crush a woman or make her so strong and impervious to criticism that she builds a $1 billion brand.

Kim’s in the latter category and people hate her for it.

Morgan divines quickly why so many people have such a venomous response to seeing this particular woman bare her butt.

They resent her global fame, her immense wealth, her marriage to one of the world’s most brilliant music icons. Above all, they loathe her resolute refusal to bow to all the bitter venom that spews its way in her direction.

He builds a case that lots of stars show their bare ass for lots of reasons, some funny, some charitable, some artistic. But none of them elicit the kind of resentment that Kardashian does.

It’s time for me to make a shocking admission: I like and admire Kim Kardashian-West.

And all you lazy, snide, snobbish, patronizing and hypocritical critics can go kiss her ass – there’s plenty of room.

Kim’s hubby Kanye West sent a simple message that all men understood.

  • Drew Barrymore, Ciara Show Off Baby Bumps at Safe Kids Event

Drew Barrymore, Ciara Show Off Baby Bumps at Safe Kids Event

Drew Barrymore and Ciara showed off their very pregnant baby bellies at a Safe Kids event on Saturday.

Barrymore and Ciara were two of many celebrities who took part in Safe Kids Day in Los Angeles. The event was essentially an educational playdate to raise funds and awareness of preventable childhood injuries.

Malin Akerman, Tom Arnold, Piers Morgan, Giuliana Rancic, Vanna White, and Kendra Wilkinson also lent star power to the event.

“I try to have a sense of humor about how [much] you need to learn and tackle, and how to remain fun-loving and not, like, uptight because there’s so much to care about and to learn about,” Barrymore said in advance of the Kids Safe event.

“I’ve never been so worried in my life about making sure that something I care about more than I’ve ever cared in my life is safe and intact.”

Barrymore’s daughter Olive Barrymore Kopelman was born in September 2012. In December 2013 Barrymore revealed that she and husband Will Kopelman would welcome another daughter to the family in 2014.

Barrymore has said that motherhood has altered how she sees her career.

“It used to be work first and now it’s life first … So even though I’m doing a lot, there’s a lot of things that have slowed down. I don’t make that many movies anymore. I’m not really producing right now. And I’m trying to do jobs where I can work from home or be at home by dinnertime if I do have to go out to meetings. You just sort of change your life.”

In January Barrymore published a book of photography titled Find It in Everything.

Blended, in which she stars with Adam Sandler, is scheduled to release in May.

Barrymore is also the owner of Flower Beauty, a line of makeup and nail polish sold exclusively at Walmart.

Ciara announced during a January 2014 appearance on The View that she and fiancé Future are expecting their first child together.

  • Piers Morgan Bids Adieu With Shot at NRA

Piers Morgan Bids Adieu With Shot at NRA

Piers Morgan bid adieu to his television viewers on Friday, replete with a shot at the NRA and a plea for Americans to become more stringent about gun control. Morgan’s show was canceled due to low ratings. Critics say the British native is “out of touch” with American culture.

“We gave everything we had and loved every minute of it. Well, almost every minute of it,” Morgan said before signing off for the last time.

Morgan’s show was supposed to fill the open hole Larry King left with his retirement. Things didn’t quite pan out the way CNN had planned.

During the last few minutes of Piers Morgan’s final commentary, the talk switched to gun control. He had in fact pre-empted his last show with a tweet that indicated he had something more to say before his official goodbye.

Saying first that he respects Americans, the CNN host quoted something his brother, a colonel in the Royal British Army, once told him.

“You always want an American next to you in a trench when the going gets tough.”

“But that’s where I think guns belong, on a military battlefield,” Morgan said. “Not in the hands of civilians.”

Piers Morgan went on to say that gun violence in America is “a disease.”

“The gun lobby in America, led by the NRA, has bullied this nation’s politicians into cowardly [sic] silence even when 20 children are blown away in their classrooms,” he said.

Long criticized for his anti-gun stance, Morgan once lost his cool during an interview with a woman whose brother died from gun violence. He crumpled up his papers and promptly ended the interview.

During his sign off, however, Piers Morgan insisted that his beliefs were shared solely for the good of Americans.

“I’m so pro-American I want more of you to stay alive,” he said.

While many are opposed to Piers Morgan’s beliefs about gun control, it is interesting to learn what someone from another country feels about safety and violence. Were you a fan of his CNN show or did you think he was better suited to being a judge on America’s Got Talent?

  • Piers Morgan Ends Show’s Run With Gun Control Plea

Piers Morgan ended his CNN show’s 3-year run with a final shot at the NRA, pleading with the country to take another look at gun control policies.

The cancellation of “Piers Morgan Live” was announced last month with Morgan admitting that his stance on gun control issues hadn’t made him very popular with many of his viewers.

“Look, I am a British guy debating American cultural issues, including guns, which has been very polarizing, and there is no doubt that there are many in the audience who are tired of me banging on about it,” he said. “That’s run its course and Jeff (Zucker, president of CNN) and I have been talking for some time about different ways of using me.”

Morgan gave one final plea on Friday night for Americans to see how politicians have been influenced by gun lobbying, referencing the shootings in Aurora and Newtown as instances when the laws should have been tightened but weren’t.

“The gun lobby in America, led by the NRA, has bullied this nation’s politicians into cowardly silence even when 20 children are blown away in their classrooms,” said Morgan.

It’s not clear where Morgan will go next in his career, although he said last month that he may have opportunities waiting for him in another aspect of the network.

  • Chelsea Handler Takes Piers Morgan To Task

Were they joking around or were they serious?

That’s what some folks are probably wondering when they saw Piers Morgan interview Chelsea Handler on CNN’s Piers Morgan Live on Monday night, as the two were engaged in a heated exchange.

It all started when Morgan was texting during a commercial break, which seemed to bother Handler. She felt she was being ignored, and chastised the British talk show host for not being a better interviewer.

“I mean, you can’t even pay attention for 60 seconds,” griped Chandler. “You’re a terrible interviewer.”

And in typical Piers Morgan fashion he retaliated with pure sarcasm and said he wasn’t paying attention to Handler because she wasn’t interesting enough. “Well, you just weren’t keeping my attention, he said. “It’s more an issue for you than me.”

    )

And anyone who’s familiar with Handler’s brand of comedy, which is a mixture of mean-girl-teasing and celebrity bashing, probably knew she wasn’t going to take that comment lying down, and she shot right back at Morgan and said it was his responsibility to take care of the person he’s interviewing.

She even poked fun at the show Piers Morgan Live being cancelled, as it was revealed the show won’t be coming back next season. “This is your show,” said Chandler. “You have to pay attention to the guest that you invited on your show. Maybe that’s why your job is coming to an end.”

News of Morgan’s show being cancelled came last month, and it was mainly due to poor ratings and a lot of folks not caring for the talk show host at all. Morgan said it was a hard sell for CNN to get Americans to listen to a person from the UK talk about American issues, especially politics.

“Look, I am a British guy debating American cultural issues, including guns, which has been very polarizing,” said Morgan. “And there’s no doubt there are many in the audience who are tired of me banging on about it.”

  • Pizza Delivery Man Enjoying Fame

    Pizza Delivery Man Enjoying Fame

Edgar Martirosyan, the pizza delivery driver from the Oscars, is having his fifteen minutes of fame. By now, you probably know the story. Martirosyan, who works for Big Momma’s and Pappa’s Pizzeria in Los Angeles, thought he would just be delivering the pies to the writers backstage at the Dolby Theater while the 86th Academy Awards ceremony was going on.

However, host Ellen DeGeneres had other plans.

She told Martirosyan to follow her out on stage and suddenly the delivery driver was handing out slices to the biggest A-List talent in all of Hollywood. He even got a little help from the likes of Brad Pitt, Jared Leto, and Keven Spacey. He spoke of the whirlwind moment, “They told me I’m going to deliver pizzas for writers, and then when I went there, Ellen (DeGeneres) came out and told me, ‘Just follow me. When I was going, I realized I’m on the stage, and I just went. … I wasn’t nervous. I was cool. I was shocked. I didn’t know what was going on.”

Now Martirosyan is working the Hollywood circuit. He appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday, where the host took out Pharrell’s hat which contained the $600 cash that she collected while working the star-studded crowd. Then she threw in an extra $400, to give Martirosyan an even $1,000 tip.

The Moscow native has sat for countless interviews and also appeared on Piers Morgan Tonight on Monday to talk about the experience, “I was just shocked. It was a really great moment. I’m thinking that’s when you say American dream, this is really the American dream.”

The owner, Ararat Agakhanyan, is loving the publicity that his pizzeria is getting on the international stage. TMZ estimates that the pizza joint is getting about $10.8 million in free advertising. The owner told The Los Angeles Times, “All of our locations are crazy busy right now. We had no idea that our pizzas were going to be on TV. We’re ordering supplies like mad, stocking up on cheese, pepperoni, sausage and boxes and shipping them out to the different stores.”

  • Piers Morgan: Gun Control Views May Be To Blame For Low Ratings

Piers Morgan will be ending his show, “Piers Morgan Live”, in the coming weeks due to low ratings, and he says it may be because of his views on gun control. The U.K.-born host hasn’t been able to compete with other news shows in the primetime slot, but he says he’s ready to move on–possibly to another show on CNN–because the program was turning into something different than what he wanted.

“I think I can credibly do news and the ratings reflect that, but it is not really the show that I set out to do,” he said. “There are all kinds of people who can do news here. I’d like to do work — interviews with big celebrities and powerful people — that is better suited to what I do well and fit with what Jeff is trying to do with the network.”

Morgan admitted that the recent flare-up of gun violence across the country had dominated several of his shows, and because it’s such a hot-button issue, his strong feelings about it might have become too much for some viewers to handle.

Morgan has also been surrounded by controversy after allegations were leveled against The Daily Mirror involving phone hacking while he was editor there. He has denied the claims that he had any knowledge of such actions.

CNN has not announced a formal ending date for “Piers Morgan Live”, but it will likely be sometime in the coming month.

  • Hawaii School Shooting: Police Officer Fires at Runaway Teen

A shooting occurred early Tuesday morning at Roosevelt High School in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Unlike the typical school shootings that have taken place lately, this instead involved police officers.

A police officer shot a 17-year-old runaway boy in the wrist following the attack of three other officers.

School officials notified the police when they realized that the boy, who was previously enrolled, was a runaway felon and not a student at the school anymore.

Commander of the Honolulu Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, Richard Robinson, reported to Daily Mail that the boy responded defensively in attempt to get away from officers when they arrived to the school “to take him into custody.”

The boy violently attacked one cop with a knife, cutting him in his chest area. Two other officers were also punched.

In retaliation, an officer shot two rounds, one of which hit the teenage boy in the wrist.

One witness said that the confrontation between the boy and the officers most likely happened in a school counselor’s office since he was not too far away from the shots.

The school of 1,500 students was immediately locked down following the stream of events.

The shooting, which occurred at 8:30 a.m., prompted school officials to cancel classes early and students were ordered to evacuate off campus at a nearby memorial cemetery.

A number of parents showed up at the school waiting to hear word from their children.

President of the statewide police officers union told KBAC-TV that the police officers didn’t plan on shooting the boy but regardless of age, if a suspect poses a threat then police officers are expected to protect themselves.

According to Education Department officials, “Hawaii is one of 12 states that have not had a school shooting, or someone entering a campus with the intent to shoot.”

Piers Morgan posted on Twitter Tuesday that the school shooting ranks 37 in American history, but later deleted the tweet.

  • Harvey Weinstein Says He’s Done Making Violent Films

Earlier this week we reported that Harvey Weinstein is planning to make a movie that he says will take on the NRA head-on. But he’s going a step further, he says, and plans to stop making movies with a lot of violent content. He made the announcement to CNN’s Piers Morgan.

In the interview, Weinstein said if he wants to take on the NRA fully and have credibility while doing so, he’ll have to start with the movies that he produces. “You have to look in the mirror too,” he said. “I have to choose movies that aren’t violent, or as violent as they used to be. For me, personally, I can’t continue to do that. The change starts here.”

In addition, the studio-head explained that he’s not ruling out producing violent films altogether, he just wants the violence to be purposeful and not gratuitous. “I’m not going to make some crazy action movie just to blow up people and exploit people and make some crazy action movie,” he said.

When Weinsten initially announced his plans to take on the NRA, many of his critics called him a hypocrite for producing violent films himself, which is why he says the change has to start with him and his studio The Weinstein Company.

But some may ask, do violent movies really cause violent behavior? Is the connection really that simple?

James B. Weaver III, who’s head of the Department of Communication at Virginia Tech, says yes, as he and Dolf Zillmann of the the University of Alabama conducted a study to show if violent films change the way people react. At the conclusion of the study they determined that everyday-people can become violent after watching films that show a lot of fighting, shootings and people dying.

“We’re talking here about some people in everyday life who may not find it okay to beat up
someone, but do find it all right to exchange harsh words and insult other people,” says Weaver. “These films with gratuitous violence make people less civil, more willing to say things in a meeting or in a classroom that were inappropriate a few years ago. It seems tied to the role models seen and the lessons learned from different types of films.”

  • Piers Morgan is Safe as White House Asks Gun Activist Petitioners to Remember the 1st Amendment

The White House’s “We The People” online petition site has seen some ridiculous petitions gain steam over the past couple of months. First, there was the rash of secession petitions that popped up following President Obama’s reelection. Then, we saw a petition to build a functioning Death Star succeed the signature threshold. Someone even asked the White House to consider a law banning the practice of insulting religion.

Funny? Of course. But it’s clear that none of these petitions were really created in good faith. You can’t secede. You can’t have a law outlawing people from making fun of your God. Get real, people.

Recently, another crazy petition amassed quite a few backers. It asked the White House to “Deport British Citizen Piers Morgan for Attacking 2nd Amendment.” Morgan, host of his own CNN show, has been vocal in his criticism of American gun laws (or lack thereof).

“British Citizen and CNN television host Piers Morgan is engaged in a hostile attack against the U.S. Constitution by targeting the Second Amendment. We demand that Mr. Morgan be deported immediately for his effort to undermine the Bill of Rights and for exploiting his position as a national network television host to stage attacks against the rights of American citizens,” read the petition.

It has received over 109,000 signatures as of the writing of this article.

Now, the White House has published an official response to the petition, written by Press Secretary Jay Carney. His message is pretty clear: 2nd Amendment activists need to reread the 1st amendment.

“Let’s not let arguments over the Constitution’s Second Amendment violate the spirit of its First. President Obama believes that the Second Amendment guarantees an individual right to bear arms. However, the Constitution not only guarantees an individual right to bear arms, but also enshrines the freedom of speech and the freedom of the press — fundamental principles that are essential to our democracy. Americans may disagree on matters of public policy and express those disagreements vigorously, but no one should be punished by the government simply because he or she expressed a view on the Second Amendment — or any other matter of public concern,” writes Carney.

So it appears that the Federal Government will not be taking any steps to remove Piers Morgan from the country.

Alex Jones, radio host and founder of InfoWars, recently appeared on the Piers Morgan show to “discuss” guns and the petition, which he backed. You can catch up on that sideshow below:

  • Piers Morgan And The @AkinEmptyChair Twitter Account

When Piers Morgan invited Republican State Senate candidate Todd Akin to appear on his show last night, he probably had no idea he would soon be involved in the creation of a Twitter account dedicated to an empty chair, but that’s exactly what happened.

After Akin made some rather inflammatory comments regarding “legitimate rape” and the fact that women can shut their bodies down to prevent a subsequent pregnancy, he declined to appear on the show as scheduled, leaving a chair that Morgan and his producers didn’t even try to fill. Morgan later told Akin on-air exactly how he felt about the situation.

“If you don’t keep your promise to appear on the show, then you are what we would call in Britain a gutless little twerp,” Morgan said.

In a cheeky show of humor, Morgan kept a live photo of the empty chair up in the corner of the screen, where Akin would have been had he shown up for the “exclusive” interview. Of course, some wit on Twitter decided to take the joke and run with it, resulting in @AkinsEmptyChair.

The account immediately swept the site, and even Piers himself is backing it:

Casey Anthony, a woman who clearly needs no introduction, recently sat down with CNN’s Piers Morgan for a short, 10-minute off-camera interview, during which she stated that she did not murder her 2 year-old daughter, Caylee. Anthony also used the opportunity to state that she isn’t the irresponsible party girl that the media has portrayed her to be, though she remarked at one point that she was “ashamed in many ways of the person that I was”.

Due to death threats she’s received since the acquittal, Anthony spends the majority of her time in-doors, where she wiles away the hours watching TV and movies — black-and-white films and the Three Stooges are her favorites — reading books, cooking, cleaning, and exercising. She admitted to enjoying the “Hunger Games” series, a trilogy which, Morgan pointed out, features the murdering of children. Anthony, of course, didn’t take the bait.

Those interested viewers who were hoping to glean some insight into Caylee’s death will be greatly disappointed with the interview. Anthony didn’t say too much about her daughter’s untimely demise, though she did mention to Morgan that Caylee had “died”, not murdered.

“There’s nothing in this world I’ve ever been more proud of, and there’s no one I loved more than my daughter,” Anthony reportedly said. “She’s my greatest accomplishment.”

In other Casey Anthony-related news, the Lifetime network is currently preparing a motion picture centered around her attorneys. The film, entitled “Imperfect Justice”, will feature Canadian actress Holly Deveaux as Casey. Rob Lowe and Oscar Nunez are also slated to star.

What do Twitter users think of the Morgan-Anthony interview? You’re seconds away from finding out. Below are several reactions to the story, many of which come from users who believe that Anthony is 100% guilty of murdering her daughter.

  • CNN Hits 15 Year Low In Veiwership

CNN Hits 15 Year Low In Veiwership

The downward slide by CNN continued when a new episode of Piers Morgan Tonight at 9 PM drew in only 39,000 viewers in the Adult 25-54 age range. This news follows last months debacle which saw CNN record its lowest ratings in a decade.

The fall of CNN is, in part, due to the continuing split of political opinions in the country where people want news and opinion that closely matches their own. But it is mainly due to the rise and dominance of the Fox News Channel. Currently Fox News owns the top 13 spots in the race for the top rated programs on cable news. The 10:00pm re-run of Bill O’Reilly’s the O’Reilly Factor beat almost everything but demolished anything CNN had to offer.

The last time a CNN show had these kinds of terrible numbers in that weekday time slot was on August 22, 1997 during a Larry King show that only drew 50,000 viewers in the Adult 25-54 age range. The difference is that Larry King’s overall viewer numbers were 693,000, Morgan’s show only had a total viewership of 284,000. CNN seems to be on a sinking ship, and as one commenter on deadline.com put it:

“Please, please let this be the reason that they fire Piers Morgan. He is the anchor to their sinking ship. Truly the worst interviewer in the history of television. He makes Arsenio Hall look like Mike Wallace.”

  • Alec Baldwin Does Piers Morgan, Wasteland Panda, and Ask Paul Rudd

A viral video is one that becomes popular through the process of Internet sharing, via social media, sharing sites, or good ‘ole email. Everyday we highlight some of the best that are currently viral and some that are trending that way.

Today’s videos feature an amazing short movie involving robots, Stephen Colbert interviewing Maurice Sendak, a kid and his tennis ball.

Just in case you had a question for a grown man, Paul Rudd has your answers…

What do you do with your tennis ball?…well, that was a surprise ending.

This is why we don’t need to implement human AI into your killing machines. Do your job! Seriously though, this is a great short movie.

It’s Kung Fu (old show) meets Panda, meets post-apocalypse. But it’s not Kung Fu Panda.

Wastelander Panda Prologue from Epic Films on Vimeo.

Maurice Sendak is officially my favorite old person. He didn’t write those books for the children, they just happened to be the ones who read them. Priceless.

Alec Baldwin tries to be funny, which leads to Piers Morgan laughing awkwardly. Which leads to us laughing for the wrong reason.

  • Christine O’Donnell Walkout Prompts Piers Morgan Keith Olbermann Twitter War

Twitter is a fun place for media feuds, as talking heads with big egos take to the internet to bash other talking heads – it’s all rather amusing. The latest fight to erupt on Twitter involves CNN’s Piers Morgan and Former MSNBC and current Current TV host Keith Olbermann.

Following the bizarre interview on Piers Morgan Tonight that resulted in former Tea Party Senate candidate Christine O”Donnell walking out, Olbermann took the opportunity to bash Morgan about, surprise, viewers:

Who walks out on @PiersMorgan tonight? I’m betting on…the audience (as usual) 18 hours ago via web · powered by @socialditto

Morgan, always up for a Twitter squabble hit back –

More watch me in Belgium than you globally RT @KeithOlbermann: Who walks out on @PiersMorgan tonight? I’m betting on the audience (as usual) 18 hours ago via Twitter for BlackBerry® · powered by @socialditto

Morgan challenged Olbermann to come on his show and once again hit him where it hurts: ratings.

Come on and debate with me you big coward @KeithOlbermann – or are you too busy with your 40,000 viewers a night? 17 hours ago via Twitter for BlackBerry® · powered by @socialditto

    Olberman responded to the challenge:

Just to wrap this up, most recent of 12 pleadings by @PiersMorgan that I appear on his show arrived 7/26. After he “banned me for life.” 17 hours ago via Twittelator · powered by @socialditto

For some background, Piers Morgan “banned” Olbermann from his new show back in January. He said that it was “just a temporary ban, designed to confuse and bemuse him, and hopefully engender a violent reaction.”

Olbermann ended with this reference to the recent hacking accusations –

We have a winner! Good night all! RT @Graypets @piersmorgan Why don’t you listen to the bug you have on Olbermann’s phone and find out? 16 hours ago via Twittelator · powered by @socialditto

Morgan finally retweeted this, basically invoking the “Scoreboard” argument –

Since Olbermann likes to note this: Morgan has 3x the followers while tweeting 1/2 as much #taleofthetape 16 hours ago via TweetDeck · powered by @socialditto

  • Christine O’Donnell’s Piers Morgan Interview: The Two React On Twitter

    Does everyone remember Christine O’Donnell?

The former Tea Party candidate for the U.S. Senate from the state of Delaware made an appearance on “Piers Morgan Tonight” last night. And by make an appearance, I mean a brief appearance, as O’Donnell cut the interview short and walked out on the host.

Her 2010 campaign for the Senate will probably be remembered for her “I’m not a witch” ad that flooded the internet and television and spawned numerous parodies.

On his HBO show Real Time, comedian Bill Maher aired a clip from his previous show, ABC’s Politically Incorrect, that featured O’Donnell saying, “I dabbled into witchcraft – I never joined a coven. I hung around with people who were doing these things, we went tot a movie and then had a little midnight picnic on a satanic altar. And I didn’t know it.” That generated a lot of buzz in the media and prompted this now infamous ad –

Last night, O’Donnell appeared on Piers Morgan’s show to promote her new book, “Trouble Maker.” She didn’t like the persistence that Piers showed on his questions about gay marriage and “don’t ask don’t tell.” O’Donnell said she wanted to discuss the book, and Piers claimed that he was discussing stuff that was, in fact, in the book. After calling the host “rude,” she abruptly ended the interview. Check out the video below –

O’Donnell asks, “Don’t you think, as a host, um, if I say this is what I want talk about – that’s what we should address?” To which Piers Morgan replies, “Uh, not really, no.”

Piers tweeted about the incident pretty much all night. Check out some of the best tweets –

Ms O’Donnell wasn’t happy about me quizzing her re views on withcraft and sex. But really flipped at gay marriage Qs. Ripped mike and fled. 16 hours ago via Twitter for BlackBerry® · powered by @socialditto

My first ever walk-out in 25 years of interviews. I guess viewers can decide if I was ‘rude’ or not tonight at 9pm ET. #CNN 15 hours ago via Twitter for BlackBerry® · powered by @socialditto

Do you think Christine O’Donnell is going to put a witch’s curse on me now? 14 hours ago via web · powered by @socialditto

    Piers retweeted this –

Christine O’Donnell is the first author in the history of publishing to walk out of a TV interview because the host apparently read her book 11 hours ago via Tweetlogix · powered by @socialditto

Christine O’Donnell also had some interesting things to say on Twitter –

I only agreed to go on the Piers Morgan Show because he promised not to hack my cell phone. 13 hours ago via txt · powered by @socialditto

Piers, thanks for the invite. Schedule is already packed, maybe another night. No hard feelings, you cheeky bugger. 11 hours ago via txt · powered by @socialditto

O’Donnell said this about walking out on Piers this morning (courtesy of My Fox DC) –

Well first of all I want to set the record straight, it wasn’t the question on gay marriage. He had a decidedly inappropriate line of questions leading up to that, that many people – bloggers, are saying was just border-line creepy.

And, I’m trying to move away from it, you know, I’m not a 20-year-old on MTV right now, so let’s get back to the political issues that I lay out in the book – and he wouldn’t let up.

I was not there to talk about sex – and he would not stop trying to talk about sex.

What do you think? Should he have continued to press her on the issue? Let us know in the comments?
