You probably weren’t expecting the Giants to pull off a two-point safety this early in the game, were you?
The Giants defied the odds pushing their score up to nine so early in the game. The Pats have to fight back hard to make up for that gutsy play. They were able to score a field goal putting their score at three, but still a ways to go.
A lot of people in Vegas had money on final scores in the game and two-point safety will most likely throw that off. The game is already looking to be far more interesting than previously thought.
This is 10th time in a Super Bowl that a team had a lead of 9 pts or more after 1st quarter. Previous 9 teams are 7-2 in the game.
@NFLhistory: That was 6th safety in Super Bowl history. 1st one since SB XLIII. #sb46
RT@sbnation: If you had a safety as the first score of the Super Bowl, you made some good money http://t.co/BQVpi6SO #PropBets
RTA safety to start the Super Bowl is a win for crappy square holders everywhere
