Skyrim Theme Gets A Music Video You Have To See

The Elder Scroll V: Skyrim is a daily topic of internet conversation since its release. A lot of that surrounds the actual gameplay elements, and even more it seems to involve people’s obsession with the game. I’m as guilty as the next guy – I mean, you’re looking at a guy who’s put 100+ hours into the game. We won’t go into how north of 100 hours that number goes.

Another great thing to come out of the Skyrim phenomenon is the various works of art, music, and videos made by fans to show their love of the game – or sometimes their frustration. Between fan fiction, glow-in-the-dark T-shirts, graphing calculator ports, and Dovahkiin Britney Spears, there’s a lot of this stuff out there.

Let me add another, for your consideration. This is over-the-top, awesome, epic, unnecessary, amazing, and intense all rolled into one. Feel free to tack on any additional superlatives, after your nerdgasm of course:

This Skyrim theme music video comes to us from musicians Lindsey Stirling and Peter Hollens. This isn’t either of their first times creating viral YouTube hits. Stirling has won our hearts with her wonderful Zelda Medley and Dubstep Violin. Hollens has been uploading his music to YouTube for a while now – a mix of interesting covers and original tracks.

If this song pumps you up and makes you want to visit Skyrim, console owners will discover that they have a new update waiting for them when they sign on.
