Scarlett Johansson Talks About Her Post-Pregnancy Body

Scarlett Johansson spoke recently about her post-pregnancy body and admitted that she doesn’t like her thighs. It was during Sunday night’s airing of Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2014, that the actress, who only gave birth to her daughter Rose Dorothy three months ago, said she doesn’t think there’s anything special about her body.

“It’s an okay body,” she told Barbara Walters, “I wouldn’t say it’s particularly remarkable, though. I don’t like my thighs, my midsection.”

Barbara Walters included Scarlett Johansson on the ‘fascinating people’ list because of her very eventful year as a new mom, wife, and blockbuster star in Lucy, Chef, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Walters asked Johansson what it was like to be a sex symbol and to film sex scenes.

“You have to be totally without judgment,” she said of filming “realistic” sex scenes. “It’s sort of liberating. It’s challenging, but you’ve just got to stay in the moment.”

Walters also asked the Her actor about marriage and motherhood.

“It’s wonderful and exhausting,” Johansson said of motherhood. “The love is just unbelievable. It’s very overwhelming. I’m nursing and I love it. It’s the best way to get back in shape.”

Scarlett Johansson secretly married French journalist Romain Dauriac on October 1st.

“I think being in a committed relationship takes work. It’s very easy to leave a situation when it gets uncomfortable. It’s challenging. But when it works it’s really worth it,” she says of her still relatively new marriage.

Given the year Scarlett Johansson has had, is it any wonder Barbara Walters chose her as one of her 10 Most Fascinating People of 2014? No. The real wonder here is why Scarlett Johansson doesn’t think her body is anything special. There are no doubt many people–both male and female–who will pointedly disagree with that.
