On Wednesday’s edition of Good Morning America, co-anchor Robin Roberts detailed her plans to launch a production company called Rock’n Robin Productions.
According to Deadline, the company’s current projects include news-driven documentaries, a digital series for espnW, two reality show pilots, and a Thanksgiving special for ABC.
Robin will serve as the president of the company, but will continue to co-host Good Morning America.
“I’m blessed to be able to do even more of what I love to do and now reach an even broader audience with programming that will inspire, inform and entertain people,” Roberts said in a statement.
“I’m very excited to get involved in the business and development side of production, and will spend a lot of time working with the team on the creative. I’m so grateful to my ABC and GMA family for supporting the launch of the company.”
Roberts named ABC News Executive John R. Green as executive vice president of programming and development
