Pippa Middleton Reportedly Courted By NBC For Job

Pippa Middleton is reportedly in talks to become a correspondent for NBC after an interview she did with Matt Lauer in June spiked ratings for the network.

According to Page Six, Middleton is being considered for a job on the Today show and has completed a test shoot in Utah.

“NBC, along with all the major networks, has been trying to sign Pippa for some time,” a source said.

Reps for NBC have denied offering a job to the sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, but another source told the New York Post that the deal will be done very soon.

“The deal with NBC isn’t done yet, but everybody is hopeful it will be done very soon. They want to make sure Pippa is comfortable in this role. The ratings for Pippa’s interview with Matt Lauer showed she is very popular with ‘Today’ viewers, and she really impressed everyone at NBC.”

According to The Daily Mail, the network offered Middleton a 6-figure deal in 2012 to become a royal correspondent, but the deal never went through. The topic of her family–who offer much fascination to the world, especially since Kate’s first pregnancy and the recent announcement of her second–would reportedly be off limits to any news agency she signs on with.

Middleton currently writes for Vanity Fair and is a published author.
