Phyllis Diller Dies At 95; Fans Remember Her Contributions To Comedy

It’s safe to assume that everybody knows Phyllis Diller. She was one of the most unique comedians working in Hollywood thanks to her trademark laugh. Sadly, we’ll never hear that laugh anymore as Diller passed away in her home at the age of 95.

It’s being reported that her manager, Milton Suchin, said Diller passed away in her sleep “with a smile on her face.” She was with family at the time who were no doubt watching over her failing health that could be attributed to a recent fall she took.

Fans remember Diller fondly as one of the legendary comedians from the early age of television all the way up to the modern day. She got her start doing stand-up, but quickly moved to television and film. Many older fans remember her from shows like What’s My Line? and Rowan and Martin’s Laugh-In.

Whether they knew it or not, children were also exposed to the trademark wisecracks of Diller through her extensive voice work in animated series and films like The New Scooby Doo Movies, Family Guy and A Bug’s Life.

Fans took to Twitter to share memories of the comedian and express their condolences to the family:
