Paul Walker has been the subject of much mourning this week after his death in a fiery car crash on Saturday; now, the autopsy report has been released, giving fans and family at least one answer.

Walker’s cause of death is reported to be the “combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries”, meaning the impact and the heat. Walker was indeed the passenger in the car, as had been suspected. The driver, Roger Rodas, died of “multiple traumatic injuries”.

The crash has been classified as an accident, and occurred after a charity event. Just minutes after leaving, witnesses say they heard a loud bang in the distance before the louder sound of the actual impact from the Porsche hitting a light pole, and an investigation is underway to determine exactly what caused the crash.

Walker was working on “Fast and Furious 7”, and rumors have been flying concerning what producers plan to do in order to finish the film.

“At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on ‘Fast & Furious 7’ for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise,” Universal Pictures said in a statement.

The company has already made the decision to donate portions of the DVD sales from “Fast and Furious 6” to Walker’s charity, Reach Out Worldwide.
