Pandora announced the launch of new Facebook integration for iPhone, Android and Pandora.com, which lets users publish their music activity to Facebook, where it will add content to Facebook’s recently launched music section.

“While we’ve offered social features that allow you to explicitly share your Pandora stations and music discoveries to Facebook for some time, today’s update makes sharing effortless,” says Pandora CTO and EVP of Product, Tom Conrad. “This means it’s easier than ever to discover new music from friends’ listening activity in your Facebook News Feed or by checking out the music section on their profile. The new music section on your Facebook profile includes a dedicated radio collection which offers a great place to find inspiration for new stations to listen to.”

“We’ve made the feature incredibly easy to use – a quick toggle on your phone or press of a button on the web and you’re ready to go,” adds Conrad. “Of course, you can customize what you share, including your listening activity, the tracks and artists you like, or the people you follow on Pandora and you will always be able to edit your activity on Facebook in case there’s a guilty pleasure or two that you don’t want friends discovering. We’ve also made it very easy to toggle automatic sharing on and off. This new feature puts you totally in control of what’s shared and the experience is entirely opt in.”

Pandora also premiered its new on-demand music service (for music that hasn’t been released yet) this week. More on that here.

Last month, Pandora hit 200 million users, and 1.5 billion hours streamed in the month of March.
