Our First Glimpse of the Walking Dead Season 3

Season 2 of the Walking Dead just ended a few months ago. Fans of the series are getting withdrawals. Lucky for us, AMC has eased the pain a little, with a clip on the making of season 3. For those of us that have followed the comic series, you can kind-of understand what they are going to cover next season. Enjoy.

Topping this off are some rumors swirling about some cast additions next season. One of them being the character of Manuel , who is supposedly going to be brought on for comic relief. Season 3 is going to take place in a prison, and if you know anything about the prison in the comic version, you know their are some insane goings-on about to happen. I wonder if they are going to keep the characters Axel, Dexter, Thomas and Andrew, and if they do, what roles they are going to play in this version. It could be that Manuel will bring the comic relief for the tamer TV audience to balance the seriousness of the prison scenes.

This is from a casting call for Manuel put out by AMC:

30 to 40, Hispanic, a working class survivor, he is confident, physically skilled, a leader when necessary, capable and smart. Has a terrific sense of humor where you wouldn’t expect one. Recurring.”

Some say that it was leaked, some say AMC intentionally “leaked” it to either give us a preview or cause some kind of viral promotion. Or it could just be complete BS. Who knows.

What we do know is that Danai Gurira will play Michonne, and David Morrissey will play the Governor. Both could make an entrance next season, although for the character of The Governor, he does not appear until later. But with the way that the TV show mixes things up, we could see him sooner rather than later.
