The Olsen twins made a rare TV appearance last week when they visited Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show and dished about their very private lives. It’s not often that the former Full House stars, who together comprised the role of little Michelle Tanner, do interviews. They last appeared on daytime TV–and it was on Ellen’s show then, too–in 2010.
The 27-year-old Olsen twins weren’t just being friendly, however. Instead they were promoting their new fragrances, Elizabeth and James Nirvana White and Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black.
“Our brand is about duality and we wanted to be able to offer options,” Mary-Kate says of why they are putting out two new fragrances instead of one.
Ellen did manage to get the girls to divulge a few things about their differences in a hilarious game she dubbed ‘Mary-Kate or Ashley.’
It seems that even though the twins are 27 now people still get one confused from the other.
“For us I think it’s more like, ‘Are you Mary or Kate?’ or ‘Are you Mary-Kate and Ashley?” Ashley explained. “I’m one of ’em!”
Ellen’s game had the Olsen twins answering questions like ‘Who is the messiest?’ and ‘Who is the funniest?’ Ellen also admitted that she still has a hard time telling the twins apart.

The Olsen twins long gave up their acting careers to become very successful fashion designers. Even though their clothing line is eclectic to say the least, they certainly are raking in the dough from their collections. Their Elizabeth and James and The Row lines aren’t cheap either and rivals some of the top New York City designers. Their more affordable clothing lines, Olsenboye and StyleMint, cater to a more moderate taste and expense.
Did you catch the Olsen twins on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this past week? What do you think of their incredible transformations from Michelle Tanner to talented and very shrewd businesswomen?
