Nikki Reed Hooks Up With DWTS’s Derek Hough

Nikki Reed, 25, seems to be moving on pretty quickly after her split from husband Paul McDonald.

Just a month after the split, Nikki Reed was spotted making out with Dancing With the Stars pro Derek Hough, multiple sources told Us Weekly.

The Email star and Hough, 28, apparently hooked up at Rock & Reilly’s in L.A. on April 18, according to one of the sources. The pair were hanging out with Hough’s DWTS best friend Mark Ballas and costar Cheryl Burke when the alleged make-out session took place.

“The whole group was drinking and partying. Derek bought shots for Nikki at the bar,” said the source. “There was lots of PDA, Nikki was feeding him, holding hands, and they left together. They didn’t seem to care if anyone was watching.”

Reed has also been spotted on the DWTS set, supposedly to support Hough. A source told Us Reed was backstage hanging with Ballas’ girlfriend BC Jean during this week’s April 29 episode.

“She’s such a sweet girl! Really down to earth,” said a source about Reed to Us. “They are having fun hanging out. It’s a good match.”

The Scout actress is a BFF with Hough’s sister Julianne, which could be how the pair found each other.

Reed and American Idol alum McDonald, who met on the Idol set, decided to split after a two-year marriage. They lived separately for six months before announcing their split, but still plan on working together on their collaborative album.

“They will continue to share their love of music, and are still working on their debut album, I’m Not Falling, releasing in 2014,” the statement said. “They remain best friends and look forward to their continued journey together.”

An insider close to the actress says her little fling with Hough is nothing serious.

“Nikki isn’t currently dating anyone. She is focused on her divorce from Paul and caring for that relationship as well as her latest film projects,” the source said. “Nikki and Julianne are good friends, and she has hung out with Derek a few times through her. They’re having fun but it’s nothing serious.”
