Miley Cyrus Mourns the Death of Her Dog, Floyd

Twitter exploded with sad face and heart emojis on Tuesday when singer Miley Cyrus announced that her beloved dog, Floyd, has died.

“This is the second worst day of my life,” she tweeted. “I am miserable.”

Though fans tried to cheer her up, she seemed inconsolable.

“What you don’t understand is that he’s not in a better place. The best place he could be was with me … where he was loved more than anything,” she wrote of the Alaskan Klee Kai.

The 21-year old singer even apologized in advance to Boston fans regarding her upcoming Wednesday night performance. “I’m sorry in advance if I am not myself tomorrow Boston. I will try my best to be my best.”

Cyrus has rescued many other dogs including Bean, Happy, Mary Jane, and Penny Lane. In December, she lost another dog, 2-year old Yorkie mix, Lila, after a fight with bulldog Ziggy. Ziggy was then put into a rescue home to be placed in a home with no other dogs or kids.

Cyrus posted several pictures on Twitter and Instagram to mourn her most recent loss.

In related news, although the released cover for her new single, Adore You is less revealing, earlier this week the full photo was leaked online by Idolator. The cover shows Miley completely topless, wearing a white thong, holding a blunt, and straddling a horse statue.

Animal lover, indeed.
