Miley Cyrus Covers Led Zeppelin And Roy Orbison

Miley Cyrus has several hit songs. Now the pop singer is adding a few rock and roll covers to her arsenal. She recently took to the internet to introduce her fans to two classic rock songs, Led Zeppelin’s Babe, I’m Gonna Leave You and Roy Orbinson’s It’s Over.

Babe, I’m Gonna Leave You is from Led Zeppelin’s self-titled debut album which was released in 1969. The album is often cited as one of the most influential rock-blues albums ever made. Rolling Stone magazine ranked the album No. 29 on its list of the 500 greatest albums all of time.

Cyrus posted the cover to her SoundCloud page.

It seems that Cyrus is planning on her singing a few covers on her Bangerz Tour and wants her fans to be somewhat familiar with the more classic side of rock music. It’s Over was released in 1964 and became a top ten Billboard hit.

According to Cyrus’ Instagram page, The Wrecking Ball singer also plans to cover Leonard Cohen’s I’m Your Man.

Of course, not everyone is happy with Miley’s foray into covering classic rock.

While others are digging it.

Cyrus is currently travelling the globe on her Bangerz Tour in support of her fourth studio album of the same name. For a full list of tour dates and all things Miley Cyrus click here.
