Mark Zuckerberg Called Out By Kanye West During Twitter Plea For Money

Mark Zuckerberg is one of the richest men in the world, so it’s probably not a surprise to him when someone asks for money. But when that person is one of the biggest entertainers in the music industry, things get a bit more complicated.

Zuckerberg got a shoutout from Kanye West this week on Twitter, where the rapper pleaded for fans to help him on his quest to get out of millions of dollars worth of debt. West said that he felt Mark Zuckerberg could help him get back on track and bring his creative vision to his fans the right way.

“You love hip hop, you love my art… I am your favorite artist but you watch me barely breathe and still play my album in your house…World, please tweet, FaceTime, Facebook, instagram, whatever you gotta do to get Mark to support me…I’m this generation’s Disney…I want to bring dope s–t to the world…I don’t have enough resources to create what I really can,” Kanye said.

Zuckerberg hasn’t responded publicly to West’s pleas for help, but sources say he has employed quite a few security guards at his home lately due to threats from Facebook users. The mogul is one of several CEOs in Silicon Valley who have upped the security game, hiring around sixteen guards just for his home.

“You’re touching hundreds of millions of people. All the CEOs get threats, and they take them very seriously,” a source told Page Six.

West has had a pretty full week, performing on Saturday Night Live and announcing that his new album, The Life Of Pablo, would be available to download on his site. However, he changed his mind and later pulled the album, announcing he would make it available exclusively on Tidal. Tidal quickly went on to become the number one downloaded app.
