Lil Wayne is not a happy camper!
Two weeks before his highly anticipated album Tha Carter V was scheduled for release, Wayne blasted his label Cash Money for the delay, saying that they refuse to release it.
Wayne took to Twitter to voice his outrage for the continuous delay of his album.
“To all my fans, I want u to know that my album won’t and hasn’t been released bekuz Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it,” he wrote. “This is not my fault. I am truly and deeply sorry to all my fans but most of all to myself and my family for putting us in this situation.”
Wayne continued his Twitter rant by referring to himself and his creativity as prisoners and stating that he wanted off this label.
“I want off this label and nothing to do with these people but unfortunately it ain’t that easy,” he added. “I am a prisoner and so is my creativity Again,I am truly sorry and I don’t blame ya if ya fed up with waiting 4 me & this album. But thk u,” he wrote, and then asked his followers to “pray.”
Although Wayne claims he wants nothing more to do with his current label, Wayne’s manager Cortez Bryant told TMZ that he everything was fine.
“Of course not,” Bryant said, when asked if Wayne would be moving on to anther label. “What do you mean? We’re good. I’m smiling. I wouldn’t be out in the club right now.”
Wayne’s fans are so disappointed that the album has been delayed again that they have set up a petition on iPetitions.com asking Cash Money to please release the album before Christmas.
