Lady Gaga is so well known for sporting odd looks and insane makeup, sometimes it’s hard to tell what’s real and what is just for show. She recently tweeted a picture of her injuries after an onstage accident, however, that look painfully real.
Over the weekend, Gaga was onstage in New Zealand when a backup dancer accidentally bonked her on the head with a huge pole which was a bit of set decoration, causing her to stagger back before running offstage. Her makeup artist, Tara Sevelo, tweeted that the singer had suffered a concussion but was expected to be okay to ease the minds of her fans; however, a new photo posted by the Lady herself has her followers wincing at the image of a huge shiner and a bruise on her cheekbone.

She also tweeted gratitude for all the love and concern her “little monsters” were sending her way.

Despite the bruises, Gaga insists she’s well enough to take the stage again and is eager to melt some faces off in Australia.
