Kylo Ren Enters The Millennium Falcon In Deleted ‘The Force Awakens’ Scene

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released in digital format this coming April, and included in the Blu-ray and DVD release are a number of special features and some intriguing deleted scenes from the film.

Disney teased fans with Star Wars’ new trailer for the DVD and Blu-Ray release showing some behind-the-scenes footage during the filming process, but perhaps the most interesting part of the trailer is Kylo Ren boarding the Millennium Falcon. Ren is seen entering the ship after Stormtroopers checked the vessel for life, and uttering one word: “Solo.”

Cinemablend suggests the bit must be “part of the sequence on the planet Takodana” while Rey, and the others were there asking Maz Kanata for help. Some say it must have taken place on Starkiller Base as there were Snowtroopers present. It might also reveal some important information about Ben Solo that people have not previously known.

Fans of the film are surely intrigued by now since this scene has never been mentioned before, even by people who are connected to the project.

According to reports, there will be seven deleted scenes which will be part of the DVD, including the said scene with Kylo Ren. Viewers will get a chance to see how the actors and filmmakers prepared for the film, including the movie script reading, building BB-8, as well as how the production brought new fictional creatures to life. The digital version also offers a glimpse of how the lightsaber battle between Rey and Kylo Ren was done, an interview with the legendary composer John Williams about his work on the popular franchise, and an insider’s look into the magic of visual effects.
