Kylie Minogue To Record Christmas Songs With Sister Danii, Duo Will Cover Wham’s ‘Last Christmas’

Sisters Kylie Minogue and Danii Minogue have teamed up to record Christmas songs to be released in December.

Daily Mirror reported that the Minogue sisters have finished recording a cover of Wham’s famous “Last Christmas.”

The team-up was impossible at first since Kylie and Dannii were both busy with their respective careers. Dannii has been a part of X Factor Australia. Kylie, on the other hand, has been busy gearing up for her Kiss Me Once world tour.

According to a source, “Minogue fans have long wanted a duet between the two sisters, but Kylie never felt it was the right time. Also, her management tried to avoid it because they considered the pair were in different leagues.”

The last time they collaborated was when they sang a cover of ABBA’s “The Winner Takes It All” for the British television program Beautiful People.

But now, Kylie has plenty of time to do a recording with her sister. It was previously reported that in March, Kylie left Parlophone, her record label of 15 years. The 47-year-old singer also decided to leave Jay Z’s music management company, Roc Nation.

The siblings are hoping fans will appreciate their effort now that they have joined forces once again.

Kylie has always wanted to do a recording with her sister. “We would definitely love to do something together again. My favourite thing that we have done together is a comedy sketch show in England a while back,” she said back in 2011, hinting she missed the times they spent together. From what can be seen from their social media pages, the sisters have been spending more quality time with each other nowadays.

Meanwhile, Dannii will be coming back as a judge on The X-Factor Australia.
