Kurt Russell has joined the cast of the upcoming Marvel film, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Set to hit the big screen in May of 2017, no word has yet emerged as to which character Kurt Russell will play.

Some speculate the actor might play the father of Peter Quill, also referred to as Star-Lord. So far the identity of the actor playing this role is under wraps.
According to IMBD, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 “continues the team’s adventures as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill’s true parentage.”
The original Guardians of the Galaxy was a huge hit, earning more than $770 million worldwide.
Kurt Russell, who currently stars in The Hateful Eight, is also known for roles in Escape from New York, Death Proof, and The Thing. He has been in a relationship with Goldie Hawn for 32 years.
