Hard to tell what gets more press. Is it Kristen Stewart’s ever-changing hair color or her tumultuous love life? Today Stewart is in the news because she finally went back to her original hair color, brown.
The 24-year-old actress was rocking a loud orange hairdo for her role as a stoner’s girlfriend named Phoebe in the film American Ultra. However, she kept the washed-out tangerine look even after the film wrapped production in the spring. The Twilight star also cut her locks to pixie-length in July.
In case you haven’t noticed it, the pixie-cut has taken over Hollywood the past couple of years. We’ve seen it from Kristin Chenoweth, Jennifer Hudson, Pamela Anderson, Scarlett Johansson, and Jennifer Lawrence to name just a few.

At a press appearance in Toyko on Saturday for her newest movie Equals, which also stars Nicholas Hoult, Stewart debuted her brunette locks. She also opted for the wet, slicked back look. And yes her hair is still pretty short.
Equals’ imdb.com tagline is: “A futuristic love story set in a world where emotions have been eradicated.” The sci-fi film is currently in production in Tokyo and has a 2015 release date.
Stewart discussed the dystopian future setting of the film, a world where humans can’t feel emotions, but then a few do wind up obtaining the ability to feel. “I’m definitely not afraid of “feels,” she said. “My life revolves around it, actually. Finding the balance between the head and the heart is important – but I’ve always been very driven by the gut.”
