Kim Kardashian, Kanye West Won’t Be Moving Into Their Bel-Air Mansion

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have reportedly decided to sell their Bel-Air mansion.

According to E! News, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and her new hubby are planning to put their dream home, which they’ve worked so hard to renovate, on the market.

She and the Yeezus rapper purchased the home back in January of 2013 for an estimated $11 million. The 10,000 square foot mansion, which has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, has been under renovation since it was purchased.

The home was initially scheduled to be complete in February. However, that date was pushed back until July, and the home is still nowhere near completion.

The famed couple has been residing in her mother’s Hollywood Hills home the entire time. Now, their patience with the renovation and construction process has reportedly waned. So, they’re looking to lay down roots elsewhere.

Since several media outlets began reporting the possibility of them selling their home, other rumors have begun to circulate. TMZ reported that the couple had taken an interest in house-flipping.

However, that rumor was quickly refuted. An inside source explained that the couple has no interest in flipping houses. They’re just perfectionists and have a certain standard they desire for their home. But, unfortunately, the renovation process has just been extremely time-consuming.

“They are such perfectionists that staying up-to-date with the latest appliances and home systems, etc., has been exhausting for them,” a source told E! “They want to sell very soon, but they might just finish the house enough to get it on the market without trying to make it their perfect home.”

“Another key motivation for selling and buying a completed new home is the fact that the renovation has taken way too long, and they really want to have their own place and move out of Kris’ home,” a source explained.

Although the insider’s claims have yet to be confirmed or denied, the 33-year-old reality star has voiced similar complaints about the daunting renovation process. Back in February, Kim spoke openly about the progress of their home via Mobio Insider.

“Kim, you have enough money to rent a place, why aren’t you living in place of your own?” a fan asked. The model and fashion designer gave a detailed response.

“I truly didn’t think our house would take this long,” she said. “But now I love living here. It has everything I could ever need, and I love spending all of this time with my mom and sisters. I will be definitely ready to go when our house is finally done but going to miss it too. Nothing better than the whole family seeing our daughter daily!”

Hopefully Kimye will finally find a new place to call their marital home!
