Kim Kardashian Deals With Racism On Show

Racism is an ugly thing and something nobody should have to experience. Kim Kardashian recently dealt with racism on the most recent season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Kim and her mother Kris were attending the Vienna Ball in Austria when they encountered a man dressed in “black face” and impersonating Kanye West.

At first Kim and Kris were shocked and weren’t sure what they were seeing was real. They both seemed confused and nervous and unsure of how to handle the situation.

A few moments later both of them overheard someone use the N-word in an interview.

The mother and daughter chose not to make a scene during the event and instead headed for the door.

“We need to get the hell out of here,” Jenner said of her reaction to the situation.

Kim was also very upset about the incidents and said that being a mother has made her more aware of racism and more sensitive to the issue.

“To be honest, before I had North, I never really gave racism or discrimination a lot of thought,” she blogged. “It is obviously a topic that Kanye is passionate about, but I guess it was easier for me to believe that it was someone else’s battle. But recently, I’ve read and personally experienced some incidents that have sickened me and made me take notice. I realize that racism and discrimination are still alive, and just as hateful and deadly as they ever have been.”

She added, “I want my daughter growing up in a world where love for one another is the most important thing. So the first step I’m taking is to stop pretending like this isn’t my issue or my problem, because it is, it’s everyone’s.”

Do you think Kim and Kris did the right thing by leaving the event or should they have drawn more attention to the problems?
