Actress Keira Knightley is known for her mighty talent and less for her personal life. While the 28-year-old is a huge celebrity on the big-screen, the star likes to keep to herself when not in the spotlight. It comes as no surprise when we heard that Knightley deleted her Twitter account only 12 hours after its creation. The star opened up about her take on social media in the latest issue of Harpers Bazaar.
That’s right, Knightley singed up for Twitter under a false name. But the daring experiment only lasted 12 short hours.
“It made me feel a little bit like being in a school playground and not being popular and standing on the sidelines kind of going, ‘Argh.’”
Harpers then went on to ask the actress is she minds when audiences have a false impression of her she said, “No, I think that’s fine… I like being private.
Knightley continued and said, “I haven’t asked a lot of the actresses who I really admire, ‘How do you do it?’ because I don’t want to know. Maybe I’m childish in that way; I just don’t want to know about your life. The work is all that matters.”
Knightley who is known for her work in Pride & Prejudice, Atonement and Pirates of the Caribbean is currently working on the film based off the latest Tom Clancy book, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.
