Joey and Rory Feek Have “Hours and Hours” of Video Footage of Joey Feek for Daughter Indiana

Joey and Rory singer Rory Feek recently shared on his blog, This Life I Live, that once Joey Feek passes away, he can keep her memory alive for their little daughter Indiana.

As Joey has fought her battle with cervical cancer and nears the end of her days on earth, Rory has done his best to make her last days happy ones. Lately they’ve become bittersweet, as they both know the end is near.

During a recent conversation with People magazine, Rory Feek spoke of his blog and the memories he’ll forever hold dear.

“I am a songwriter who hasn’t been writing songs in the last couple of years, so sitting down and writing these stories about our lives has been a wonderful creative outlet for me,” the Joey and Rory singer said. “Each blog post has also been therapeutic for me, in the sense that there are some parts of what we’re going through that I’m not sure what to make of. Writing about it helps me to sort out what I feel and how to respond to the twists and turns that life has taken us on.”

When Rory isn’t writing or relishing the excitement over a Joey + Rory song receiving a Grammy Award nomination, he has a camera in his hand, capturing Joey Feek’s cherished last days with her family.

“Without realizing I was doing it, God has allowed me to capture hours and hours of Joey and her life at home on the farm, raising Indiana and playing music,” he esplains. “I can’t help but believe that those clips will be an important part of keeping Joey’s memory alive in Indy’s heart.”

Joey + Rory are a country/bluegrass duo who are also husband and wife. Rory Feek recently said he’ll no longer make music once Joey passes away.

One can hope that he’ll find peace after Joey is gone, and perhaps keep his Joey + Rory music alive–even if only for the sake of little Indiana.
