Jodie Sweetin is reprising her Full House role of Stephanie Tanner in the upcoming spinoff called Fuller House. Due out via Netflix in 2016, the actress joins Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber as the show’s new mainstays.
John Stamos is one of the spinoff’s producers, and he has agreed to reprise his role as Uncle Jesse on a recurring basis.
Jodie Sweetin feels grateful that this opportunity has come along.
“Now that it’s actually happening, it’s almost too good to be true,” she said in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. “To be able to do a series with people I love–who are like family–to play a character I loved so much and to be able to do that in this point in my life when things are going so well for me and I have a completely different perspective on things…I’m really, incredibly grateful.”

Lori Loughlin, the Olsen twins, Dave Coulier, and Bob Saget are all in talks to reprise their Full House roles on a recurring basis. Jodie Sweetin would love nothing more than to have her entire Full House family back together again. Lori Loughlin doesn’t seem really optimistic about Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, however.

“It doesn’t matter how much money they get paid, they don’t care,” she said during a recent interview. “I honestly don’t know if they want to do it. I’m sure they’re talking to them. I don’t know what’s going on there. Everyone would love it [if they came back], it would be really nice.”
Do you think Jodie Sweetin will realize her dream? Will the entire Full House cast reunite for Fuller House? Or will some remain hold outs for money–or other reasons?
Netflix has requested 13 episodes of Fuller House that will be available starting next year.
