Jessica Simpson is back in form. After two pregnancies in which her weight shot up, Simpson has had a storied weight loss experience and is now proudly showing off her slim body.
Earlier this year, Simpson told Good Morning America that she had stunned even herself with the amount of weight she had gained during her first and second pregnancies.
“I was so insecure – I couldn’t even believe what I weighed,” she said. “I don’t think that I ever expected myself to see the numbers that I have seen on the scale,”
While Simpson keeps a balanced view on weight gain during pregnancy, she also acknowledges that those pounds have to come back off later to stay healthy.
“You are creating a life, and honestly it’s not easy,” she said. “It is a really hard thing to go through. And you deserve to eat your ice cream, you deserve to have your pancakes. Do whatever you want to do and then afterwards just know that you have to work really hard.”
Simpson says she changed her behaviors for her second pregnancy, not letting her self indulge quite as freely, always aware that she would have to work it all back off eventually.
“I had to learn that with my first and second pregnancy,” she said. “My first pregnancy I ate a lot more, but my second pregnancy I ate enough, like I ate what I wanted to eat but I stayed active and I think because I had gained so much weight with my first that I had to stay active throughout my second because I didn’t know what to do with myself if I didn’t.”
Now that she is all trimmed down, Simpson is putting her leggy frame on display on Instagram.
Simpson says she has a goal behind all her weight loss efforts.
“I want to sing again,” she said. “I want my [kids] to see me on stage. My [husband] has never even watched me perform. Which is crazy. And — but that is my passion, that is my love, like, that is everything that I am.”
