It has only been a little over a week since Jessa Duggar accepted Ben Seewald’s proposal, but she revealed that she is ready to say “I do.”
On Monday, September 8, the couple revealed that they have set a wedding date. Like her sister Jill, Jessa has decided to opt for a short engagement, and she will walk down the aisle on November 1.
“We are so blessed to be engaged!” the couple said in a statement. “God has written an amazing story through our courtship, and another chapter has just begun! We are thrilled to see what the future holds — especially the wedding bells!”
While the date has just been set, the couple says that they have already started planning, and have most of it done. “We have most of our planning done,” 19-year-old Seewald told People. “When you’re planning a wedding, you can make it complicated or make it simple, and we are trying to make ours simple.”
“There are some things that have to be done right before the wedding, but for the most part, we’re ready,” Seewald added.
Jessa has picked out her bridesmaids dresses, the colors for the wedding, and even her wedding dress. “We have the bridal party picked and the colors are done,” Jessa, 21, said. “The bridesmaids dresses are selected.”
“I picked out my wedding dress a couple of days ago,” she added. “I went with the second dress I tried on – I love it.”
The couple’s courtship, and now engagement, has been shared on TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting, which airs on Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. ET.
