Jessa Duggar: ’19 Kids and Counting’ Star’s In-Laws Support Josh Duggar Despite Sexual Molestations

Jessa Duggar was likely one of her brother Josh Duggar’s sexual molestation victims. The 19 Kids and Counting star admits to having committed some heinous crimes when he was a teen–among them the molestation of five female minors–four of whom were his own sisters.

Instead of coming to the defense of Jessa Duggar–and sisters Jana Duggar, Jill Duggar Dillard, and Jinger Duggar (many speculate these were the siblings Josh Duggar molested)–her in-laws are siding with Josh.

Michael Seewald, father of Jessa Duggar’s husband Ben Seewald, said via a recent family blog post titled Grace Greater Than Sin, talks about the Duggar family and the nightmare they are now reliving.

“It pains me to see that they are now having to relive the nightmare that had been laid to rest well over a decade ago with Josh’s repentance and reformation, but I feel compelled to bring some context and reason to the bloodletting that many are engaging in and to come to the aid of our dear friends and family,” he writes.

“As it stands criminal charges were not brought against Josh but I believe that Josh’s parents acted in a way that godly parents should. They did not turn a blind eye, but earnestly sought help from the church, counselors, and eventually the police. In their efforts to salvage the wreckage that these transgressions brought, and bring healing to all involved, Jim Bob and Michelle are to be commended,” he adds.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are to be commended? Is Jessa Duggar’s father-in-law really that blind?

It was only a couple of days ago when Jessa’s mother-in-law shared her support of Josh Duggar by promoting the support he received from Mike Huckabee.

Guinn Seewald posted Mike Huckabee’s defense of Josh Duggar on her Facebook page, but it has since been removed.

“Josh’s actions when he was an underage teen are as he described them himself, ‘inexcusable,’ but that doesn’t mean ‘unforgivable,’” Mike Huckabee wrote in the Facebook post. “He and his family dealt with it and were honest and open about it with the victims and the authorities. No purpose whatsoever is served by those who are now trying to discredit Josh or his family by sensationalizing the story.”

If Jessa Duggar was one of Josh Duggar’s victims–and many assume she was–how must it feel for her to watch her in-laws support a child molester and not support their own daughter-in-law? She’s expecting a baby, and deserves all the support she can get from both sides of her family.

Or do you suppose Jessa Duggar has long been brainwashed into the 19 Kids and Counting family’s way of thinking, and finds this all to be okay?
