Jennifer Aniston Responds To “The Leftovers” Suggestion

Jennifer Aniston has several projects coming up, but a role on her fiance’s show The Leftovers isn’t one of them.

When one of the show’s stars, Amy Brenneman, suggested that the actress portray a character called a Guilty Remnant–a group of cult members who don’t speak–Aniston said she didn’t think she’d be a good fit for it.

“She’d be an awesome Guilty Remnant, wouldn’t she? Just like have that cigarette and be bad ass,” Brenneman told E! News.

Aniston heard about the suggestion during an interview at the premiere of her film Life Of Crime and laughed it off.

“That is so funny. I don’t know. I don’t think so. They would never want me on that show,” she said.

Aniston made headlines recently when she was reunited with her former Friends co-stars Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow on Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show and pretended to be annoyed at being asked to do a sketch with them. Her acting skills were on full display, as several viewers thought she was really upset and took to the web to discuss her attitude.

“Of course, we were acting. It was acting. Everybody knew it was gonna happen, we rehearsed it backstage, it was scripted out. The idea was that I would force Jennifer into this mini Friends reunion, and she pretended to be annoyed by it,” Kimmel later said.

The Leftovers airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on HBO.
