Jason Derulo Kicks Off Dancing With The Stars Season 18

ABC’s hit dancing reality show Dancing With The Stars kicks off a week from today, and the momentum leading up to the show’s 18th season is currently building, especially with all of the different events which have recently occurred that will separate this season from all of the other seasons that have aired in the past. One of the ways that will make the opening show extravagant is that Jason Derulo will be singing during the opening of Dancing With The Stars‘ season premiere.

According to E Online, Derulo will be performing his hit “Talk Dirty,” accompanied by 2 Chainz. This will be the first time that a musical act will be accompanying the season’s opening routine.

Derulo, 24, is a well-known singer, dancer, and songwriter from Miami, Florida. He is mostly known for his dance-beat-oriented R&B music, such as “Ridin’ Solo” and “In My Head.” Derulo was also the opening singer for Lady Gaga’s The Monster Ball Tour from 2009-2010.

For this season’s upcoming premiere, each couple will be dancing to either a cha cha, foxtrot, or a contemporary routine. Apart from the dancing, there have been many cosmetic changes to the show, such as the new co-host Erin Andrews and the songs that the dancers will be dancing to will be performed by a new band, slated to help attract a younger audience.

Another change that will take place during this new season of Dancing With The Stars is that, throughout the course of the season, the stars will be changing pro partners (most likely similar to the format on So You Think You Can Dance). The dancing/reality show has called this “The Switch Up.”
