Jared Leto Wears Outrageous Baboon Outfit, Surprises Attendees At New York Comic-Con

A fan dressed as the Joker had no idea he was already standing beside the real Joker and even took a photo with him.

Jared Leto, who is set to play the role of the Joker in the upcoming films Suicide Squad and Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, joined the New York Comic-Con but made sure that no one recognized him.

Leto wore a giant baboon mask that disguised himself as Rafiki of The Lion King. Only his eyes were visible to people.

He mingled freely with everyone until he saw a cosplayer dressed as the Joker and asked if he could take a photo with him.

While Leto was enjoying brief moment of anonymity, he also managed to find another fan who was dressed as the Joker’s sidekick, Harley Quinn. Leto surprised cosplayer Kristen Corradeno when he approached her and said, “Hey Harley. I’m surprised you don’t recognize my voice.” Leto then revealed himself and chatted with Kristen for a while.

Kristen was very happy and said in her post, “Thanks so much for being so awesome, Jared! It was so cool casually chatting with ya for a few minutes.”

Jared Leto also posted his photos with and without the mask while in the NYCC.

Aside from the Joker and Harley Quinn cosplayers he met at the NYCC, he also shared photos of Batman and Robin cosplayers, as well as other superheroes like Superman.

After this experience as a “normal” person, it looks like Leto will be back posting creepy pictures of himself as the Joker on Instagram to hype up the upcoming movie.

Leto will be starring alongside Margot Robbie, Will Smith, and Cara Delevingne  in the film, Suicide Squad, which will be released in August 2016.

He will also appear in Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice with Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavil as Superman. The movie is set to hit theaters in March 2016.
