Jamie-Lynn Sigler’s brother Adam Sigler died suddenly on Wednesday, November 12 after suffering a brain hemorrhage. He was 41.
Adam was the oldest brother of The Sopranos actress, and was in seemingly good health before slipping into a coma last week.
“Words cannot express how deeply saddened we are by the sudden loss of Adam Sigler,” Jamie-Lynn’s rep said in a statement to People. “He brought love and joy to everyone around him especially his family, who were by his side when he passed. Adam will continue to be a source of strength and inspiration.”
“Adam was always so happy and inspired Jamie to be a better person every day,” a source close to the family told Us Weekly. “She loved him dearly and will miss him more than anyone can ever imagine. The family was with him every second he was in a coma and was surrounded by his entire family when he passed.”
Jamie-Lynn made her way to fame by playing the character Meadow Soprano, the daughter of New Jersey mob boss Tony (James Gandolfini), on the HBO series The Sopranos. Her other screen credits include Entourage, Ugly Betty and Guys with Kids.

Adam is survived by Jamie-Lynn, their brother Brian Sigler, their parents Steve and Connie Sigler, and his fiancé Danielle Piro.
