“Frozen” Songs Performed Live On Stage

“Frozen” has proven itself to be a spectacular hit at the box office, earning more than $900 million worldwide since its release, and the soundtrack is a particular favorite among fans. The song “Let It Go”, which is nominated for an Oscar this year, has enjoyed quite a bit of success and has inspired several covers by music-loving fans of the film. But on Sunday, some very lucky members of the film industry got the chance to hear the songs done live by the original voice actors.

Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel and Josh Gad got together at the Vibrato Grill in Bel Air to put on a show celebrating the film, performing “Do You Want To Build A Snowman?”, “Love Is An Open Door”, and, of course, “Let It Go”, which has kept its spot in the Billboard top 200 for several weeks in a row.

Bell opened the show, saying, “I wanted to be a Disney princess since I was five,” and expressing gratitude at the chance to be a part of Disney history. It echoes her comments from last summer, when she talked about getting the chance to be in a Disney film and the impact it might have on her relationship with her daughter.

“They were the first movies I remember being obsessed with as a kid. I’ve seen the Little Mermaid 100 times, I’ve seen Aladdin 100 times. And I can quote all of them!” she said. “Just the idea that I’m actually involved in one and had creative input on who I wanted this girl to be is a dream come true. I hope she likes it! Just my luck she’ll hate cartoons or something!” she said of her baby girl. “I feel so lucky I get to pass this down to her one day.”

“Frozen” is in the process of being turned into a Broadway production.
