‘Friends’ Gets A Netflix Release Date (The Entire Series)

Netflix just revealed that it will be getting one of the titles customers have wanted most – Friends. That’s the entire series, and it’s coming on January 1st. A spokesperson for the company tells us in an email:

Netflix is excited to announce that all 10 seasons, 236 episodes and 83 hours of Friends will be available exclusively on Netflix starting January 1, 2015. This marks the first time the iconic series will be available on a streaming subscription service.

Whether you’re watching for the first time or have been a fan since the beginning, you can experience the complete series however and whenever you want. Who wouldn’t love to spend New Year’s Day with Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe and Joey?

Well, that’s going to make a lot of people happy.

Also coming to Netflix in 2015 is another show from the creator of Friends called Grace and Frankie. That’s a Netflix Original, and stars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin.

Back in the summer, we learned that conversations were taking place for Netflix to pick up another 90s NBC comedy hit –Seinfeld. That’s an announcement we’re still waiting to hear.

Netflix will release is quarterly earnings report later today.
