Firefighter Arrested for Allegedly Battling in MMA While Receiving Workers’ Compensation

Firefighter Raphael Davis has been arrested for being involved in mixed martial arts (MMA) while receiving workers’ compensation. According to the district attorney’s office he was in two MMA battles while receiving benefits.

If he could kick and punch people, why couldn’t he carry a hose?

This man has a lot of explaining to do.

Davis is facing four felony accounts of insurance fraud and could spend up to five years in jail if convicted.

Maybe he can broadcast his MMA jail fights on Pay-Per-View.

He posted $30,000 bail and was released from custody just after midnight on April 11th according to sheriff’s booking records.

What amazes me the most is the fact that the 35-year-old man didn’t think he would get caught: He has videos of himself all over YouTube. Maybe he has been punched in the head too many times.

Raphael Davis won the world grappling championship twice.
