Emma Watson Turns Down Film To Focus On School

Emma Watson has been studying at Brown University in Rhode Island, trying to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in English. She has been studying so much, in fact, that she has had to turn down recent films, in order to focus on her finals.

“Emma is in demand with Hollywood directors but has so much to focus on with her studies that she has had to pass on a few things – she simply can’t do everything,” a source explained to The Mirror. “It’s tough but she believes it was the right thing.”

Watson enrolled in the Ivy League university in 2009, but had to temporarily drop out to finish the final installment of the Harry Potter franchise. She later enrolled in the Oxford University in England, but again, had to take a break to finish The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Now, the 23-year-old is determined to stay in school and finish her degree.

On December 11, Watson took to Twitter to encourage fellow students, who were also cramming for exams. She tweeted: “Anyone handing in final papers, taking exams, working hard…You can dooo ittttt!!!” She posted a picture of her laptop along with the inspirational tweet.
