Emilia Clarke, Sam Claflin Appear in New “Me Before You” Trailer

Emilia Clarke, best known for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in the hit HBO series Game of Thrones, stars alongside Hunger Games star Sam Claflin in the first official trailer for their upcoming film, Me Before You.

Sam Claflin portrays a wheelchair-bound, seriously disabled man named Will in Me Before You. After failing at working as both a beautician and a chicken factory worker, Emilia Clarke–in her role as Louisa–takes a job as Will’s caregiver.

Prior to meeting Louisa, Will had had enough of living. He promised his parents, however, that he would give it six more months before he planned to pull his own plug. The two wind up falling in love, with Will saying Emilia Clarke’s character is “pretty much the only thing that makes me want to get up in the morning.”

Emilia Clarke has had an amazing year. In addition to her ongoing Game of Thrones role, she was named Esquire’s Sexiest Woman Alive for 2015–and she landed one of the leads in Me Before You. Clarke’s Game of Thrones fans will no doubt love seeing her in such a completely different role and setting.

Those fans will have a bit of a wait before seeing Emilia Clarke on the big screen. Me Before You isn’t scheduled to hit theaters until June 3.

Will it be worth the wait?
