It’s been a hard couple of months for the mourning friends and family of Fast & Furious actor Paul Walker. Walker’s life tragically came to an end after a car crash which erupted into flames, killing the 40-year-old actor.
Fellow actor and friend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently spoke out about Walker and the pain in dealing with his death.
“The biggest pain I felt was for his family, his daughter,” Johnson said on Monday while he was promoting his upcoming film Hercules at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.
Johnson also stars in the seventh installment of the Fast & Furious films.
“It’s very important for everybody involved, of course,” Johnson said in regards to giving Walker’s character an appropriately fitting finale in the movie. “It’s not easy, and it’s a challenge when you have something like this — a beloved person. Paul, as you guys know, he was truly one of the good guys — a great dude, who didn’t take himself seriously, loved what he did, understood the business of the business,” Johnson continued.
“You got the real deal, genuine guy when you got him. So it’s important for everybody to creatively honor him in the best way that we possibly can.”
Johnson posted this picture on his Instagram shortly after the loss of one of his best buds. The photo was simply captioned, “Love you brother.”
All my strength, love & faith to the Walker family during this heartbreaking time. We find our strength.. in his light. Love you brother.

Since his death, close friend and Fast & Furious co-star Tyrese has also publicly mentioned the untimely passing.
“It was a lot of shock and trauma for his family and all of us involved,” Tyrese said. “I’ve never been depressed in my life but I was very sad and down and it took a minute for me to shake it.”
While there are some rumors of Walker’s brother filling in, It is still unclear how Walker’s character (Brian O’Conner) will leave the series. The film was originally scheduled to hit theaters July 11, 2014. It will now open on April 10, 2015.
