Diddy just got hauled to jail for throwing his weight around. Well, it was somebody’s weight.
Sean “P. Diddy” Combs was arrested today after allegedly assaulting a football coach at UCLA, where his son, Justin Combs, is a red-shirt defensive back on the football team.
UCLA issued a statement about the Diddy incident earlier today.
“Shortly after 12:30 p.m. today, Sean Combs (also known as P. Diddy) was arrested at UCLA’s Acosta Athletic Training Complex on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, which was a kettlebell. No one was seriously injured and UCPD is investigating. Combs is expected to be transported to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Inmate Reception Center later this evening.”

The particulars of any argument that preceded the alleged assault are not clear at this time. But UCLA’s football coach Jim Mora issued a simple statement:
“I’m thankful that our staff showed the level of professionalism that they did in handling this situation. This is an unfortunate incident for all parties involved. While UCPD continues to review this matter, we will let the legal process run its course and refrain from further comment at this time.”
Does Diddy say "take that!" every time he hits someone?

According to TMZ, the coach Diddy allegedly went after with a kettlebell was strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi. They say sources tell them that Diddy assaulted the man he heard him yelling at his son. Other sources say that Diddy was acting in self-defense and that Alosi attacked him first.
Combs is the father of six children. He does have a tendency to spoil his children. When Jsutin turned 16, Diddy gave him a $360,000 Maybach car, complete with chauffeur.
Diddy himself played football in high school for Mount Saint Michael Academy. His team won a division title in 1986.
