Connor Cruise Talks About Mom Nicole Kidman

If you’re old enough to remember when Tom Cruise was still married to Nicole Kidman, then you probably also remember their adorable adoptive son Connor Cruise, because from time to time you’d see Connor with the couple whenever they were being followed or covered by the media.

But ever since Cruise and Kidman got divorced in 2001, it seems we haven’t seen much of Connor, and perhaps surprisingly, he’s 19 years old now, and he’s developed an interest in acting and playing music.

And even though there have been rumors that he hasn’t gotten along with his mom since she divorced Cruise, nothing could be further from the truth, says Connor, and he and his mom still have a very close relationship to this day.

In addition, the teen says he has a lot of passion for his outside interests, but none of them come before his mom, dad, and older sister Isabella.

“I love my mum,” he told a reporter from Woman’s Day magazine. “I don’t care what people say. I know that me and mum are solid. I love her a lot. My family means everything. Yeah, I love my music, but the family comes before everything else.”

In a 2011 interview, Kidman said she’d love for Isabella and Connor to come live with her and current husband Keith Urban, because since the divorce the two children have been living with Cruise.

“It’s so different because they don’t live with us, but I would love for them to come live with us at some stage,” said the Australian actress. “They’re 18 and 16, they’re teenagers, they’re in a whole different place.”

Kidman’s youngest child, Faith, was born with the help of a surrogate and she said the entire process was amazingly beautiful, and when all was said and done, she and her husband developed a deep connection with the surrogate.

“It was so deeply emotional and moving,” she said. And having given birth and then being on the place of seeing my child being born this way. The love I felt for our gestational carrier…She was the most wonderful woman to do this for us.”
