No one was particularly calling for last year’s Spider-Man reboot. However, The Amazing Spider-Man came out during a summer packed with movies such as The Avengers and managed to impress both critics and Marvel fans. Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone will now have a place at conventions across the U.S. for the rest of their lives.
This week, though, the stars will be at San Diego Comic-Con, where some big reveals for the next Spider-Man movie are being made. Even the teaser for the Spider-Man panel itself has now revealed a first look a villain from the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Though it was revealed months ago that Jaime Foxx would be taking on the role of Marvel villain Electro, it was still unclear what version of the character would be used. Though Foxx stated he would not be wearing Electro’s recognizable and gaudy green and yellow suit, his description of his costume was vague and confusing. The teaser below shows that producers have gone with a more electricity-under-the-skin look inspired by Electro from the “Ultimate Marvel” universe:
That was just the teaser for the panel. There’s no doubt that some other big news and first-looks will come out of the panel itself, which will take place this afternoon.
