Chris Brown is Twitter’s Lastest Victim

The Twitter killer is at it again, and its latest victim is someone who, in all honesty, the Twitter Killer should’ve targeted after first. At least that way, we would’ve been spared from seeing his Grammy performance. Way to go, CBS. Glorifying a woman beater like that. What’s next? A lifetime achievement award for the now-deceased Ike Taylor for the way he “trained” Tina Turner?

Anyway, Brown is the latest victim of the “RIP _____” Twitter trend, which is great in and of itself because Chris Brown bashing never gets old. I’m sorry, I have no empathy for someone who beats the crap out of a woman, no matter how many misguided Twitter users say it’s OK, like these tween sycophants right here:

So annoying when people dislike Chris Brown for what he done to Rihanna. If the tables where turned you’d say nothing. 3 hours ago via Twitter for BlackBerry® ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto

Aw i feel so bad For Chris brown People still cant get over the whole Rihanna Thing. People make mistakes. Chris brown is human just like u! 14 hours ago via web ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto

Perhaps Twitter should start a new service for the tween generation only. That way, the signal-to-noise ratio would improve. Rapidly. Anyway, as for the Twitter Killer claiming Chris Brown as its latest victim, Twitter had fun with that, too. In fact, it every time one of these RIP trends pop up, there’s a race to see who can be the wittiest in relation to “Twitter has killed more people than ____” tweets. See for yourself:

RIP Chris Brown? Twitter has killed more black people then Hurricane Katrina. 10 hours ago via TweetDeck ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto

RIP Chris Brown? Twitter has killed more black people than the Ku Klux Klan. 47 minutes ago via web ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto

RIP Chris Brown? More people have died on twitter than Alderaan. 1 hour ago via web ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto

And then there are those who like to have some fun, especially at the expense of a person like Chris Brown:

RIP Chris Brown? I knew there was a reason Rihanna wrote Man Down. 1 hour ago via web ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto

Some, however, have tried to bastardize the trend, saying “RIP” stands for “Real Inspiring Person.” Sigh. To that, all I can do is echo the following:

“Reall Inspiring Person / RIP Chris Brown” you kidding me? Inspiring people DO NOT beat up women. 2 hours ago via web ·  Reply ·  Retweet ·  Favorite · powered by @socialditto

Good times, good times.

I wonder how all those wonder-geniuses who would let Chris Brown punch them — you know, because he’s so fine, or something — feel now that their hero is being absolutely ridiculed on Twitter yet again? Are they mourning the “loss” of such a fine, upstanding member of our society?
