Cheech Marin: A Cheech & Chong Reunion?

Cheech Marin says there may very well be a Cheech & Chong reunion in fan’s futures. The 67-year-old actor and comedian says he and Tommy Chong may soon be reuniting on film. It will certainly be interesting to see if the storyline matches those of the old days when Cheech & Chong smoked lots of pot, choked, laughed, and then got the munchies. Cheech & Chong have actually been on tour together in recent months.

Marin is in the news at the moment for an art exhibit that he launched at the Las Cruces Museum of Art in southern New Mexico recently. He has been an avid art collector for many years. The exhibit is called “Chicanitas: Small Paints from the Cheech Marin Collection,” and features 70 paintings from 29 Chicano artists. He has plans to open more of the same kinds of exhibits in locations around the world, including France. He will call the exhibits the “Chicanitas” tour.

It seems that if the Cheech & Chong reunion takes place, it will likely be in the form of an animated film.

The comedy duo’s present tour, however, definitely mirrors their old performances and is aptly named Up In Smoke.
