Camille Grammer, “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star and ex-wife of actor Kelsey Grammer, was granted a restraining order against her boyfriend, Dimitri Charalambopoulos, this week after she says he attacked her in their hotel room.
Grammer says the altercation began after Charalambopoulos received text messages from a woman in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The couple began arguing, and she says Charalambopoulos began to assault her by wrestling her to the bed, pulling out her hair, and trying to cover her mouth and nose to keep her from crying out for help.
“He grabbed me by the hair, twisted it around his hand, and repeatedly pulled my head into the bed and its headboard,” Grammer said in court documents. “[He] succeeded in pulling out swaths of my hair and gave me a large, painful contusion on the side of my head. All the while, I was screaming for help. I began to believe he would kill me,” she said.
The reality star included photos with the paperwork which show bruises to her face and wrists, swatches of hair pulled from her head, and a shattered iPhone. The attack came just five days after she underwent radical surgery for endometrial cancer, and she says she was afraid the assault would harm her internally after Charalambopoulos knelt on her stomach inches away from the incision site.
For now, the restraining order states that Charalambopoulos can’t come within 100 yards of Grammer or her two children, and he is allowed no contact. Grammer’s rep said she would need adequate recovery time after her surgery, which included a hysterectomy.
“The surgery went well and she is expected to make a complete recovery following a significant recuperation period,” the rep said. “[Camille] has been diligent about regular checkups and monitoring, which explains that early detection and rapid treatment.”
