Bill Maher Agrees With Jonothan Gruber, America Is Stupid

Jonothan Gruber has made some pretty controversial comments about Americans, and Bill Maher says that he agrees with him.

Gruber accused the American people of being stupid and on Friday, Maher said “Gruber was right. He just said what people don’t want to hear.”

Earlier this month, a tape was released that allegedly captures Gruber saying that the reason the Affordable Care Act was passed it because of “the stupidity of the American voter.”

MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews also agreed with the comments.

“Gruber was right,” Matthews said, “He said that we’re going to take money from people who can afford insurance, who are healthy and young and don’t have expensive illnesses and give it to people who are sick and older. Everybody knew that. Where else was it going to come from?”

Maher wasn’t about to let the chance to make controversial comments slip away from him and he chimed in saying,

“You basically slip a pill in the dog’s food, in a piece of ham, to get the dog to eat the pill. I agree, and I’ve heard nobody else in America say that,” Mr. Maher said.

Although the comments were obviously offensive to Americans, Maher seemed proud of them and wanted to make sure that everyone knew that he was the first to call American’s stupid.

He even showed a reel of clips of himself blasting stupid Americans over the years.
