Breaking Bad and The Michael J. Fox Show star Betsy Brandt finds one sexy new television gig.

Brandt will join the second season of Showtime’s Masters of Sex. She will have a recurring role as Barbara, a new secretary to Dr. William Masters (Michael Sheen). Previously the secretarial job was held by Miss Horchow (Margo Martindale) and temporary secretary Libby (Caitlin Fitzgerald). This is Brandt’s first television gig since The Michael J. Fox show was pulled off the air; it only aired 15 of its 22 episodes. NBC has yet to make a final decision on the fate of the series, despite reports of its cancellation.

Masters of Sex stars Sheen and Lizzy Caplan; Caplan plays Virginia Johnson. The pair are based on the real-life human sexuality pioneers Masters and Johnson. The series chronicles their lives, including their romantic history.

Besides Brandt, Masters of Sex has added several new characters to its new season. One of them includes actress and singer Keke Palmer, who will play a nanny hired by the Masters to care for their new child.

Brandt isn’t the only star of The Michael J. Fox Show who begun perusing other options before learning the fate of the series: Wendell Pierce recently booked a recurring role on the Showtime series Ray Donovan.

Brandt first gained fans with her complicated portrayal of Marie Schrader, wife of Hank Schrader (Dean Norris) and sister of Skyler White (Anna Gunn) in Breaking Bad. Since the critically acclaimed, Emmy winning series ended, most of the former cast members have found various forms of screen success. Aaron Paul, who played Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bad, recently starred in Need for Speed. While Brandt’s former TV husband Norris appeared in the hit CBS summer series Under the Dome.

Masters of Sex begins filming its second season at the end of March.
