Apple’s New Campus: Official Pictures Posted

The Cupertino City Council has posted plans received from Apple for the company’s new “mothership” campus. The information posted by the council includes technical data such as floor plans, site layouts, and landscaping, as well as a collection of high-resolution artist renderings of what the campus will look like. At sunset, apparently.

In June Steve Jobs announced to the Cupertino City Council that Apple, the city’s top taxpayer, was planning to build a new campus. The 3.1 million square foot building would be built on land acquired from HP – which Apple is expected to overtake in 2012 as the world’s top computer manufacturer – when the company closed down its Cupertino headquarters last year.

Here are some of the pictures contained in the plans:

Included with the material submitted to the City Council are references to landscaping arrangements. The company has selected an arrangement of plum and cherry trees that will beautify the campus with pink and white blossoms every year starting around the time of Jobs’ birthday.
